Not Another Hasson and Wong Patient

Three months went by so quickly. I felt as though it was just yesterday that I book my surgery date. Nevertheless, my experience at the Hasson and Wong office was absolutely wonderful. Quite surreal to see Dr. Hasson himself. The man is a real class act and down to earth. Never once was I made to feel any discomfort during my stay.

While I was in the waiting room, there were quite of few patients who recently had their surgery as well as those who were there to have their consultation. I got the chance to talk to all of them while I was waiting to have my HT done. Everyone was happy with their decision so it definitely gave me great comfort going under the knife. Not that I was in any case uncomfortable with my decision but it was still good to know.

Even with that many patients there at the clinic as well as 4 other patients who were going under the knife that same day including myself, I was made to feel as though I'm the only one there. My every needs were met and I could not have expected more. (On a side note, I didn't realize that the staff were shuffling around working the grafts into my head so I did not think to ask for a break until they needed one themselves. Make sure you do ask for breaks cause they are more than willing to accommodate.)

The surgery room was stunning as you can see out the window to have a view of downtown Vancouver. It was breath taking and I even got to see the sun set forgetting that I'm there having Surgery. Come on, surgery is never fun and I was actually enjoying myself. My surgery did last until midnight which made it all the more merrier as downtown Vancouver becomes more alive.

The only downside of this whole experience is that I wish I had showed up earlier to venture out into the city. From what I hear, it rivals that of San Francisco where I'm from. Oh well, maybe next time.

Oh, and drink lots of sugary liquid. I almost passed out thinking I was just falling asleep.

There you go, just another Hasson and Wong Patient spewing out nothing but good things from these two doctors and their staff.

Vincehair, No, Dr. Hasson did not do all 4. Two were Dr. Wongs and the other two were me and another Italian patient. (I could be wrong though, it might just be 3. Two for Hasson and 1 for Wong) Myself and and another one of Dr. Wongs patient where there really late. he left around 10pm and I midnight. The other two were early mornings and left much earlier.

The office itself and the surgery rooms are quite small. They are practically right next to each other with a small hallway dividing all the surgery rooms. Hard to explain but it was pretty crammed. And with so many people there, the patients as well as those coming in for their daily cleaning and all the consultations going on, I'm pleasantly surprise out how professional and efficient the whole staff were. You were really made to feel as though you're the only one there is what I'm trying to say.

The experience left me feeling great.

H/W seem to be the best! I'm sure you will be very happy!

Were you advised to shave your head? Also is the scar up real high or is it the angle of the camera? One more question please.. It looks like all the hairs in your hairline were shaved down and grafted in. Is this correct? If so I assume they were weak hairs? Thanks

I was in no case told to shave my head. It was actually my decision and mine alone. While I was in the waiting room, I saw two other patients who had their heads shaved down and I thought how cleaned it really looked, so I opted to have mine done as well. Dr. Hasson was not the best shaver out there. LoL. I actually took the initiative to use their buzzer and cut what remaining hair I had left. =P Also, I didn't want to deal with all that hair when it came time to staple removal. It is working fantastic so far. Very easy to maintain.

And yes the hair on my hairline was shaved down then grafted over. It was very weak and pretty much on its way out. I asked to have some grafts cover my existing hairs in the front.

As for the scar, It really isn't high at all. I took that photo myself and couldn't really come from the top, so I came from the bottom shooting up, if that makes any sense. Maybe I'll have someone shoot it for me so we can see. Also I was told that I had a high crown.
