Of course, everyone will have different results and like you, I took exactly 5 weeks off work to recover as well and I did not want anyone to find out. I went the other route by shaving my entire head. I didn't feel comfortable trying to grow my hair long to cover the recipient area and of course it works the other way around as many people are not comfortable shaving their entire head off. As Eman stated, redness will continue to show even at my 4 weeks mark and continue so for 12 weeks. I did get people "telling" me I had a nasty sunburn, because that is exactly what it looks like. No one will suspect that you have a hair transplant unless the quality of the HT procedure is abysmal or if you tell them yourself. To be honest and frank, you'll notice/stress about your head far more than anyone will care to think. lol.

oh wow, thank you very much. I have a lot of respect and admiration to all those who have helped me along my journey many years back. I got lazy to be honest and moved on. This site has helped me tremendously throughout the years and ultimately help me find the right doc for my HT. Many will find it a blessing to drop by accidentally on here and learn as much as they possibly can of the risk and rewards that will come along with a HT. Perhaps I will try to update one last time what my results looks like after all these months.

Your hair looks amazing. The stylist knew what he was doing adding some highlights to your hair. It definitely looks like you have a full set of hair and very natural looking as well. Congrats!

Those are some intense photos you've shared with us. I'm glad that the infections are behind you (fingers cross) and that it will not affect/hinder the success of your HT experience. I'm looking forward to month 4. I wish you the best.

Mega: Sorry I won't be able to tell you the density as I had the upmost confidence with Dr. Hassons ability to ensure that my head was well taken care for. I didn't asked either. I told myself that I would not obsessed over my hair as I was at the beginning stages of growth. The only time I checked on my hair was when I took some pictures. For the most part, it was covered. As I rarely checked on my hair afraid of being disappointed, I noticed dramatic changes each time. The pics are proof of that. It felt thrilling to see little sprouts of hair growing out and knowing that it will thicken in time. Dr. Hasson is truly amazing at performing hair transplant and I am so fortunate to have discover him through this website.

Your hair looks great. No more receding hair lines for you, mister. I'm curious, do you naturally keep your hair this short? Your scar is very visible unless that was your intention. Also, I like to see your hair longer before you start clipping it. Thanks

Grafts are secure 8 days or so after surgery. I believe you meant the hair itself and not the entire graft that comes out. At 10 weeks I doubt you can pull an entire graft out with a tweezer. That would hurt and plus you would have to really dig and bleed all over the place. You wouldn't want that. lol. My advice, just leave them alone. I did, and my hair turned out fine. A small percentage of people do not shed and like you said, the new hair will eventually pushes it out. Whether you shed it or not, it shouldn't affect the outcome of your hair restoration.

It wasn't so much the discomfort, although I must admit that the first 2 weeks were uncomfortable as well as the following few days after the staples were removed, it's more to do with the downtime. I had to make up some BS lies about why I need to wear a hat for work, since we are not allow to wear any. I kept a hat on for almost 5 months at work until I felt comfortable enough to have it off. I had to explain to colleagues with their never ending curiosity. I didn't want anyone to know, other than my immediate family, as it was personal and I made it through without any detection. So thinking about going under the knife and the experience again is cringeworthy. but.. if another surgery is inevitable, I have no doubts in my mind that I will do this all over again. Oh, the price we pay to look a few years younger.

Wow, going under the knife again!? My head cringes just thinking about it. Your results look fantastic and without a doubt, the 2nd procedure will give you an even fuller look.

8 months update.. hairs a bit messy. hopefully i can get better shots. i'm just not patience enough.

Month 1 is out the way. Make way for month 2. I didn't start to notice a considerable change until month 4 so the wait continues. It's dreadful but, try not to think too much of it. If all goes well, it can be quite rewarding. I know I'm excited with my results thus far.

Surprisingly my experience was quite smooth going into Canada and out. Walked up to customs in Canada and was asked only one question. "What was the reason for my travels?" I said, cosmetic surgery. That was it. Coming back to the US, I too wore a loose fitting bandanna. As I approach security I kindly asked the guards if it was okay to not take off my bandanna as I recent had surgery. They told me it was no problem and walked right through. Didn't even have a letter with me from H & W. Experience of course, may differ.

Azn_guy That is a great question about my donor scar. I will get someone to take a pic of it since it was hard enough taking my pics on my own, let alone trying to figure out where my scar is. I recently had a hair cut and had asked if the stylist can locate my scar as I did not want it exposed. She said she couldn't find it and spent a good time looking for it. I felt good about it. My hair is not coarse at all. It is fine and thin. The new hairs that are growing out is quite coarse and wavy though. It's not straight like the rest of my hairs. I'm hoping the new hairs will sort itself out soon. As far as taking precautions with your scar, follow what your doctor suggest. I did very moderate exercise for the first 2 months.

Azn_Guy Happy to see you back on here and taking that huge step towards getting a HT. The next few months are dreadful waiting to see if you're lucky enough to be an early grower. Nevertheless, your HT looks very clean and I wish you the best. I'll be following your progress as well. Keep us posted.

Thanks everyone. labrat69- I have to settled for a crappy digi camera for now until I get a new camera. I know the lighting can be quite harsh in the bathroom, but everywhere else seems to blur out the pic a bit. And yes, Dr. Hasson's work are amazing. Truly genuine. hair_me_out- Yes, as soon as I get a better camera I will. I'm still using a 4mp out dated old camera.

Yes, the doctors. Not to take anything away from them, but I've wasted countless amount of dollars with treatment that did absolutely nothing. Researching and testing what products that are available over the counter is your best bet. It's not a cure, but as long as you can keep it under control, the worst you can come out of it is a bill of clean and healthy scalp. I'm glad that you have found something that is working for you.
