Dr. Alan Feller
This patients had multiple strip procedures performed elsewhere that left the donor area scarred throughout. The most bothersome scar was in the lower right side of the donor. His previous doctor tried to put some minigrafts into it, but as they both found out, large grafts don't grow well in scar. Our goal was to get 300 to 400 grafts to fill in the most offending scar. But as luck would have it we were able to fil not on the primary scar, but a secondary one located on the left side of his donor area. Because this scars bled rather well when cut I anticipate excellent growth. We succeeded in obtaining 412 grafts. Just over half were double and triple hair grafts which were placed into the primary scar. FUE was made for patients in his situation. Pics below. He will update in 6 months. Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted October 14, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted October 14, 2009 Very nice, look forward to seeing this grown. The question of yield and just how much and far grafts can go when put into scars has always intriuged me. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos.
