Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted December 1, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted December 1, 2009 This fellow had 3100 grafts at the end of October and stopped in yesterday for his scar check. As expected he has shed most of his hair and its a waiting game until next spring when he comes back for a 6 month check. Despite being young and somewhat redish complected, and a vigorous exerciser, his scar looks great at 5 weeks. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Raphael84
At risk of sounding like a broken record, great documentation Dr Lindsey. So, if you could please enlighten me, what is the future plan for this patient at the current time. Has a further session been discussed? Do you believe that with this patients NW level, that a 2nd HT will ultimately result in "acceptable" coverage? May I ask the patients age? Using this case and at its current phase as an example. Having completed one session, knowing his donor density and scalp laxity from previous, regarding a long term plan, what do you think could be achieved and what are the details of this? Senior Member thanatopsis_awry Posted December 1, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 1, 2009 Is the patient on meds. Dr. Lindsey? From the pics, it looks to me like he is a true NW7, or at the very least has a definitive NW7 thinning pattern. Scar should be good; seems like it could be trycho to perfection. ----------- *A Follicles Dying Wish To Clinics* 1 top-down, 1 portrait, 1 side-shot, 1 hairline....4 photos. No flash. Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted December 8, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 8, 2009 I recall this fellow being not interested in meds. Yes, I suspect we'll do a second case down the road. Thanks on the scar comment. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Senior Member dabuski Posted December 8, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted December 8, 2009 Does not appear to have much residual reddening in the recipient area in the last photo. Must be a quick healer.
Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted December 11, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 11, 2009 I would agree with your assessment dabuski. On a redish complected guy at 6-8weeks postop I would expect more redness in scar and recipient area. He is a good healer, or I did a good job, or both, or its just luck. Hard to tell.
