Regular Member MaximumMM Posted April 18 Regular Member Share Posted April 18 Hello! I've just had my first day of two sessions with Dr Turan at Fuecapilar. This is my second procedure, concentrating on the crown. The first was 4.4k to the hairline and mid-scalp. They estimate they'll be able to take around 3-3.5k, including 500 from the beard. I was really hoping they'd be able to supplement more from the beard, as I think I need it. They suggest any more than that won't blend in so well. The beard hair is dark, probably a little more so than my hair, but not by much. Any opinions here on whether it would be wise to ask them to take more? I know other clinics that specialise in beard do routinely take more (notably Eugenix). Cheers 🙏
Senior Member SLA Posted April 18 Senior Member Share Posted April 18 Yes, Eugenix would be a good option! While hair color is slightly different from beard color, I don't think it is dramatically different. Also, you could always dye your hair like @Gatsbydoes.
Regular Member MaximumMM Posted April 18 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 18 Hi there. Thanks for the response but I think you may have misread my post. I'm in Turkey now, getting my beard extraction done tomorrow. The question is whether to ask for more than 500...
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted April 18 Valued Contributor Share Posted April 18 I’ve had over 8k beard grafts extracted and transplanted. I think leave it for the time being and let this surgery grow out because you may love the results anyway. But in the future you could always go to Eugenix if you feel the need. Not everyone has the artistic skill to utilize beard hair in large numbers. My girlfriend can’t tell that my hair is made up of beard. All the best. 5 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix

Senior Member gillenator Posted April 19 Senior Member Share Posted April 19 Beard hair can change in characteristics when it grows out and the visual compatibility factor is very important…as Gats suggested, you can add more in smaller sessions in the future. 2 Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. Unfortunately my beard hair is like pubes. It would look terrible on my head, they're so thick & curly compared to my head hair. They're not an option for me 🤣
