Senior Member Westview Posted March 17 Senior Member Share Posted March 17 So I'm in my 3rd month of using minoxidil plus tretinoin (which is a form of retinol). Its supposed to grow more hair than MX alone. In the last 2.5 months I've grown a few hundred hairs, mostly around the crown. My question is can you guys tell, or is there not much difference?? Regular Member johnp557799 Posted March 17 Regular Member Share Posted March 17 Did your hair get darker? I would suggest to continue using the combo for 3 more months.

Very difficult to tell, because Different lighting conditions. But for any medications you need to give at least 8-10 months to see how it responds 1 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 (𝐃𝐫.𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐡) | 𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟑𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬 | 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 | 𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝗕𝘆 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘅

I think two and a half months is too early. Give it six months and compare your baseline pic to a six month pic. Better yet you could consider oral minoxidil. It goes systemic by passing through the liver and is a lot less messy and easier to comply with. All the best. 2 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix

The new MX hairs seem to come through thicker and stronger. So far I'm very pleased with the results

I had to abandon the project
