Regular Member sr1486 Posted February 17 Regular Member Share Posted February 17 (edited) I was originally planning to hold out for verteporfin, but I’ve had my life somewhat on hold and feel like I’d be waiting a few more years. -had a 2500 FUT in 2017. All at hairline/frontal region, which was almost all gone beforehand -my FUT scarred pretty significantly, I think it may be a keloid? Therefore, I think my best bet is an FUE going forward? Can anything be done regarding my scar? I had a few SMP sessions, but it didn’t stick (scar is “raised”/not flat). I have uploaded a picture of my scar. -right now I’m considering Zarev, Eugenix, Pitella. I’m not opposed to some grafts being beard or body hair, as I realize my hair grafts are a valuable commodity. -I got on fin right after my 2500 graft FUT but am now on oral dut. I will be starting 2.5mg oral minoxidil soon which I’m hoping will make a difference -ideally I’d like a lower hairline, but realize that may not be feasible at this point -hair pictures posted are a 5 guard on top, 4 guard on sides and back. The redness is because I kept hair fibers in for a while. It’s expensive and takes time to wash off and reapply every day. Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted February 17 Valued Contributor Share Posted February 17 I would have your scar checked out to see if you in fact do suffer from keloid scarring? Do you feel the scar has stretched as well or is it mainly raised? You’ve chosen excellent surgeons and being on the meds has positioned you well. All the best. 1 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix

The scar has remained the same since it healed and does not seem to have altered the past few years. It certainly looks wider than other fut scars I’ve seen, but I will have it checked out during future FUE consultations. Love your results!
Senior Member Doron Harati Posted February 17 Senior Member Share Posted February 17 Since you had only 1 FUT I would be optimistic getting big FUE session. At HDC clinic we specializes with candidates that had FUTs before, we also had candidates that had 2-3 FUTs with much bigger scars and the clinic managed to have a big FUE sessions. We need to see also beard photos. If you interested in consultation with us, you're welcome to contact me, you can check @Parasol review that had before FUT, then came to us for FUE with Dr. Maras. 1 Doron Harati - Patient coordinator for HDC Hair Clinic, HT procedures are done by MD Doctors with Microscope FUE. Senior Member Doron Harati Posted February 18 Senior Member Share Posted February 18 (edited) Yes! Our team with the doctors can implant grafts over your FUT scar to camouflage it.
