  1. @Killiani was unaware one shouldn’t use minox until several weeks after a hair transplant. Interesting. Hope I won’t lose all my gains if I stop before/after my next FUE
  2. Is he still going to do this? I am thinking of seeing him for my next transplant, but it’s a done deal if he uses vert
  3. Been waiting so long for this and now realize I may be waiting several more years lol. So just started oral minox (1.25mg 2x/day) to see if it helps out. I’ve used it before and it thickened things up a lot, but stopped because I was like “I’ll just get regenerating grafts in a year” lol
  4. 3 days away from a month since Bloxham’s last update. It was 6 months since the start , but showed the 5 month results. Hopefully we see 7 month results soon
  5. Thank you! Can grafts be successfully implanted in raised scars like mine?
  6. Thank you. The scar has remained the same since it healed and does not seem to have altered the past few years. It certainly looks wider than other fut scars I’ve seen, but I will have it checked out during future FUE consultations. Love your results!
  7. I was originally planning to hold out for verteporfin, but I’ve had my life somewhat on hold and feel like I’d be waiting a few more years. -had a 2500 FUT in 2017. All at hairline/frontal region, which was almost all gone beforehand -my FUT scarred pretty significantly, I think it may be a keloid? Therefore, I think my best bet is an FUE going forward? Can anything be done regarding my scar? I had a few SMP sessions, but it didn’t stick (scar is “raised”/not flat). I have uploaded a picture of my scar. -right now I’m considering Zarev, Eugenix, Pitella. I’m not opposed to some grafts being beard or body hair, as I realize my hair grafts are a valuable commodity. -I got on fin right after my 2500 graft FUT but am now on oral dut. I will be starting 2.5mg oral minoxidil soon which I’m hoping will make a difference -ideally I’d like a lower hairline, but realize that may not be feasible at this point -hair pictures posted are a 5 guard on top, 4 guard on sides and back. The redness is because I kept hair fibers in for a while. It’s expensive and takes time to wash off and reapply every day.
  8. Torn between waiting on very or scheduling a consult (which will take a while) with Dr Zarev. Need to go the FUE route since my fut scarred thick
  9. 5 month update is out, so about from a month ago: I only watched the last couple minutes because it’s bedtime for me. There is obviously some regrowth, but doesn’t seem like a ton. Hopefully much more at 6-7 months
  10. So I believe we are at about 6 months for the Bloxham trials. His last update is going on 2 months ago. So hopefully next update is soon and is months 4 and 5. I’m anxious but hope it’s good news
  11. I’m very happy. I hope I can get a transplant with verteporfin in the next year or so
  12. Wow. If he does another study with higher dosages, I’d definitely be interested. I have an existing fut scar that is thick and somewhat wide (have to cover it with hair fibers), and could use more grafts (need further hair transplants)
  13. It’s been 2 months since Bloxham’s fut trial. We are getting closer to finding out how well this works
  14. Really hope this works for both scarring and follicle regeneration. I’m holding off on booking an FUE until we know. And if it does work, I’ll probably need to hold off another 2 years until doctors are using it lol
  15. The FUT trials started a month ago…. So we should have a general idea on how well this works in a few months max
  16. I have a question: does he think verteporfin would potentially help scar revisions? If so, to what extent? I have a nasty fut scar where I have to keep my hair long and still cover it up with hair fibers. The scar is raised and thick
  17. I don’t think he gave a date, but he said he will be giving updates.
  18. 6ish more months and we should have a VERY good idea on how well this will work, based upon Dr Bloxham’s results. Fut should show without a shadow of a doubt how effective verteporfin is
  19. Same here. I had undiagnosed folliculitis on my facial hair… had a cyst surgically removed, and it left a scar. Then got other cysts since the underlying folliculitis wasn’t fixed… now I have like 5 sebaceous cysts on my face/neck, and don’t want them removed due to more scars. I’d get them removed if someone would use verteporfin. also my FUT scar formed a keloid lol. Have to hide it every day.
