Regular Member 21yrold Posted November 29, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted November 29, 2023 I hope I am not causing a spamming situation as I am merely trying to get more responses from doctors on this forum and hopefully get a more definitive conclusion as I think this would be an important matter for anyone undergoing a transplant. I did have a similar thread but failed to get the attention of any doctors so I hope I can get some doctors to chime in here this time as well. The idea is that if the scar tissue around the grafts is not fully healed for the 1st 6 months then can directional forces on the hair grafts through styling cause any directional shift? I’ve heard that till month six hair styling should be avoided, combing forward or backwards might change the direction simply just let them grow. Once this phase is over you can style accordingly 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 (𝐃𝐫.𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐡) | 𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟑𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬 | 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 | 𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝗕𝘆 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘅

Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted November 30, 2023 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2023 You can change the direction of your hair based on how you style it. But the direction the hair exits the scalp does not change unless you remove it surgically and change the direction. I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network.
