Is HLC still a premium clinic?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask you about HLC and get an opinion.

In forums like this , there are reports from patients who were not entirely satisfied with their HT and were somewhat disappointed. According to them, the clinic has lost quality since Dr. Akin and Dr. Özgur are no longer there or Dr. Özgur no longer operates himself (he probably did some time ago) and the very good reputation was earned a few years ago?

Some people criticize the fact that you can't choose the doctor at HLC before the operation, so you don't know exactly what you're getting yourself into. Can you still choose HLC with a clear conscience?

Do you agree or do you see other clinics in this price segment that regularly deliver better results? If so, which one?

I have very thin hair and attach great importance to good density. Am I in good hands with HLC in terms of dense packing?

Thank you very much for your feedback!

I would avoid them because you have much better options in europe and turkey for this price range. I think it is important to go to a clinic where they focus on quality doing mostly one patient every day and they consistently produce good results. Pekiner in Turkey, Bruno pinto in portugal, Couto and Raphael de freitas in Spain, Maras in Cyprus, Bisanga, Lupanzula, Feriduni in Brussels, Laworwong in Thailand. These are only same examples of doctors which in my opinion they are elite and much much better options than hlc.

I haven't seen any recent cases come up on here, but I thought I'd read not long ago that they had or were diversifying into other cosmetic procedures.

For me any clinic has to be a HT specialist only, for starters. I'm also increasingly dogmatic about the one patient per day thing. A small number of top clinics do operate on multiple patients per day quite successfully, but one patient per day is definitely the gold standard.

I would stay away from HLC. They did not do a good job on me and multiple other people on this forum. They are a semi  Turkish Hair mill now. It is like factory assembly process. Your donor would get scarred and you may not get that good of a yield in terms of regrowth (like my case and many others).

Thank you so far for your feedback! So I already contacted a few clinics and they guess that I need around 3000-3500 Grafts.
My budget should not exceed 10.5k. Do you have any other suggestions as to which clinic would be the best in this price range? Especially when it comes to dense packing?

I honestly don’t know, it looks like they offer a variety of procedures. I think FUECapilar is an excellent option for a tight budget.

AVOID THEM!!

Here is my experience at HLC:

I did my repair + temple work with dr.Couto in Spain just a month ago. You can follow it here:

That being said I am not saying they will make a dissaster or neglect your donnor. But for that price you DEFINITELY have better options.  Plus they use too many grafts to cover small areas with not always the best outcomes. Avoid them!

Where do you live? I could recommend closer to you.

Thanks for your help and I'm happy for you that Dr. Couto did such a good job! Looks very good! I'm from Germany and any clinic in Europe would be absolutely fine!To be honest I would travel to the end of the world if there is a doctor who is an absolute bomb for my budget! :D

You should DEFINITELY consider Dr. Feriduni, Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Mwamba, and Hattingen in Switzerland. They’re all pretty close.
