Regular Member wayek Posted August 29, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted August 29, 2023 Hey everyone! apparently it's been 10 years since I posted on these forums.. wow time flies! anyways I guess it's time to stop lurking and start talking (again lol) I was prescribed Propecia/Finasteride for my hair when I was 22 (I'm 38 now) and have been on and off it a few times over the years with no very serious issues and then recently I got moved over to Dutasteride last April (taking for 16 months) 0.5mg per day and it was normal until about a few months ago and now this is a bit embarrassing..it was like I was getting way more erections than usual like I was on steroids and viagra combined! later I started getting some minor pain in a small area in the middle off to the left .. kinda just figured the guys just been exercising and brushed it off.. plus I heard if you get painful erections they should clear up in a couple months. the pain stopped but now the thing is almost looking like a kinked hose when it gets hard .. it was straight before all this but since the pain stopped I'm bent like an upside down capital L (picture this-> ⅂ ) and yes, that's when it gets hard (it still looks normal soft) so it's internal penile tissue damage and not impotence y'see... now I have to go see a damn urologist and I also got extremely fatigued and depressed. So unfortunately I had to stop taking it. Now I'm not too sure if the kink-dingy will go back to normal but here's the crazy thing - I'm thinking of going back on it but at 0.5mg per every 3 days instead anyways regardless 😱 So what else is new?

You have Peyronies Disease. This is when a scar (or plaque) develops in an area of the penis. When you get hard the blood has to flow around this scar/plaque which causes the penis to bend. If the plaque is on the left side of your shaft the penis will bend to the left, etc. It can be caused due to trauma from sex, a small tear or can be congenital. There's also a genetic link to Dupuytren's contracture. You would be best to see a urologist for this. 1 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix
Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted August 29, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted August 29, 2023 @wayek You should see your urologist soon and don't take medication without consulting him ...general health is more important than hairs . Bingo! however there is no sex involved in this situation . my theory is that the massive increase in bloodflow was causing it to get so damn stiff that it just kinda happened? I was getting like 8+ of them a day and not just normal ones either .. this thing was standing up like it was just angry! like I'm talking RAGERS! 😲 FLAG POLES! ... I swear the thing was literally growing at least 2 inches bigger than it usually does . and I wasn't doing anything with them either (they were painful!) Dupuytren's contracture - that's certainly interesting! now I'm looking at my hands and fingers all funny 😏 I did play a lot of guitar lol I have a referral in to see a urologist but no appointment yet . there's like a 2 month wait here 2 hours ago, 12345 said: damn, now i gotta worry about my penis becoming the last style bender. ffffff and all that to try and fix that one spot on my head too .... oh well, at 38 I'm surprised I still even have hair and can even grow it long (yeah I know I should cut it) I'd like to try a 15% minoxidil but am a little on the fence of where to get it here in Canada (order from minoxidilmax I guess?) at least my hairline is still somewhat decent Edited August 29, 2023 by wayek

Regular Member Scree Posted September 4, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 4, 2023 (edited) It is unfortunate to hear dutasteride is not working out for you. It's a life saver. Edited September 4, 2023 by Scree
