hi Guys

I have been wearing a toupee for a while now and kinda sick of it, so I start reading some info about hair transplants etc, however... it seems like I'm a norwood scale 7 and also have g6pd deficiency, with that said some doctors doesn't want to operate because I don't have enough hairs in the donor area and others because of my g6pd.

Anyone else with similar experience and how did you fix it? (if it's possible of course)

thanks in advance

ps: I hope I posted this in the right section

Yes, you are a Norwood 7. There are a few cases here, but the reality is that it is a very time-consuming and expensive endeavor. You will never achieve anything close to your ability with a hair system. What are your goals?

Have you considered shaving your head or having SMP? As Melvin asked what are your goals in terms of results from surgery? I wore a hair piece for nearly 25 years as a Norwood 7 and the density can never be mimicked with surgery. However there are a couple of surgeons who specialize in Norwood 7 patients and you will almost definitely have to rely on beard grafts as a donor source. Dr Pittella in Brazil specializes in many Norwood 7 cases. All the best.

the goal as weird as it may sound is to have as much hairs as possible. now after what you guys are saying...it seems practically impossible and a very long and expensive journey, I guess I need to reconsider my situation and stick to the hair system until I feel like shaving everything

I used to shave my head long ago, then found out about the hair system and start using it, however it's quite annoying especially when they get replaced as there is a huge difference in density, volume etc.

I took under consideration SMP but let's say it's my last option as of now... might take under consideration when I get a bit older...

For SMP, is there a clinic you would recommend that specializes in higher norwoods?

I personally don't know. maybe the other senior members here would be able to help you with that :)

I have spoken to a few, but same answers, lots of money and the results aren't going to be as good as I would have liked. so I have given up to the idea of hair transplant and keep the hair system for now, later on I guess I'll do the SMP... :)

I totally understand. After speaking with some of these doctors, forgetting about it might be the best option.
