Regular Member devonian Posted February 24, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2023 HI all, I had a 2810 graft FUE transplant at Dr Sikos' clinic in Budapest a couple of weeks ago. Photos attached. Before the surgery - I'd guess I was a Norwood 3 vertex - quite a receded hairline with thinning in the crown. Stable now that I'm on oral minoxidil and finasteride. Regular Member devonian Posted February 24, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2023 I should also state I had 2,810 graft total - 310 in the crown and 2500 in the frontal scalp. Day 1 after surgery

Regular Member Rafael Manelli Posted February 24, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2023 Congratulations. I like the irregularity of the design. Did you discuss doing temple points?
Regular Member Jackdaniels Posted February 24, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2023 Happy growing. The design looks very nice 👍 Can you tell us the cost of your surgery ?
Regular Member rambo man Posted February 24, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted February 24, 2023 Hopefully you get good coverage. hairline looks good. did the doctor do a swirl in your crown it’s hard to see?
Regular Member devonian Posted February 25, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 25, 2023 Thanks all! Unsure about the crown - I hope it's a swirl but I'm not sure. The grafts have definitely been placed at an angle though, not just straight out from the scalp. The total cost was €4,100, which included transfer to and from the airport but not accommodation (though I think there is a discount with a local hotel). Regular Member devonian Posted March 16, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2023 Certainly. One month in and the redness has mostly gone, though still a little pink. The transplanted hairs have started falling out, so hopefully regrowth is coming soon.

Regular Member devonian Posted May 20, 2023 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 20, 2023 Three months in. Hair at the front is starting to come through, although still looking pretty scraggly. A bit of folliculitis, being treated with Fucidin cream which seems to be helping. Hair on the crown hasn't done much at all - not sure if this is usual or not! Senior Member Britanium Posted May 20, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted May 20, 2023 Crowns usually take longer to grow in, and this is very early at only 3 months. For most people growth won’t even begin anywhere until month 4.

Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted May 20, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted May 20, 2023 As brita mentioned crown takes more time to show growth so you need to wait for that...and i can see many baby hairs on the front portion of the scalp which will start geting fuller and thicker from now on....i hope you are on medication ...
