Fue Journey

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have my fue surgery scheduled for this week and wanted to make a post to track my before and after progress and get guidance from you all in the process. I'm kinda nervous (good kind) as this is my 1st surgery and have been waiting for this for too long. Please let me know any tips for after surgery care and wish me luck. Thank you.

Will be posting my before pictures soon

Here are the things I prepared for so far

1) Stopped all vitamins, alcohol 2 weeks before

2) Bought a flight neck pillow

3) Got a baby shampoo for next 2 weeks

4) Planning to wear only button down shirts for next 2 weeks

Questions for anyone that can answer

1) From hospital to hotel can I wear a hat or anything?

2) If not that's ok.. How soon can I wear a large hat if I have to go out?

3) Besides sleeping at 45 angle and shampooing every day any other precautions to follow?

4) When can i start using oil or minoxidil? I'm thinking after 4—6 weeks?

5) When can i start working out? 4 weeks?

Thank you in advance guys

BIG NO!!

I was told day 14 is when the grafts have pretty much healed and became a part of the scalp so there's no risk of them sliding out.

Minoxidil 1x day

Stopped Fin due to sides

When I had my surgery and traveled back home, my doctor gave me one of those light-weight surgical caps.  It loosely fits and covers your head safely and nicely.
