Hello guys,

I am a bit worried about my donor area.

3.5 months ago I had an FUE hairtransplant in Istanbul. They took 3800 grafts. It is still very thin and at this stage I think it won’t groe any better. What are your opininions?

yikes.
still a lot of room to improve. but who was the clinic, what doctor. and any post op pics. with that information we can advice better.

Thank you for your reaction.

I didn’t do my homework befor I went to Istanbul. That was very stupid. I saw the results of my colleague and just took the flight blind. The hospital was very big and nice so I really trusted this whole proces. They are the specialists was what I believed. Now I think they were the technicians without many experience who did the whole operation.

Back in Holland i’ve read and watched a lot about hairtransplants and think that I made a bad disicion. C161CAC2-8738-4B1B-968B-1839060803F4.thumb.jpeg.b9059d3bc5fea843078ff1187d4c4d0f.jpegBED5983F-8712-4C87-BF72-3BA623A12F5D.thumb.jpeg.68bb6e7ba7d11ec5c7cc88367a3b5fb4.jpeg87438F1A-B492-48D9-B4A1-48BDFE8E4F6C.thumb.jpeg.5a92f211bed110a29541d71225d625f1.jpeg

Thanks Melvin, i’ve watched it. I guess my case is overharvesting. I will wait another few months otherwise I will contact a specialist like dr Mwamba who’s clinic is not that far from my place.

It may improve slightly, but if the signs of overharvesting are there, its not likely.

I  am using minoxidl also in the donor and today I had a prp session and asked if they can put som in the sides and back of the head as well. I don’t think it helps but time will tell

Continue using minoxidil foam. See what it looks like after a year.

Options include SMP and body to donor area transplants. So taking beard or body hair and putting it in donor area.

Cheers

Thanks Shiba, I will try anything for a little improvement. Keep you posted!

cheers

I was slightly overharvested my first surgery by a mill in Istanbul as well, at least you found this place and can hopefully get it corrected by a reputable surgeon

How much did the 3800 grafts cost?

Thanks mate, did you already do something about it?

I’ve paid 1350 EU + 700 EU for some extra vitamin bs kure (They put the grafts in a bath with some vitamins and minerals for about 20 minutes)

They used the fue method and later a choi pen to put the gafts back in.

hoe much did you paid the first time and how many grafts made you look overharvest?

For me I have my hair about mid length so you can't notice it

Yeah that price is too good to be true. I went to Dr Cinik in 2017, 2700 grafts and about 1900 Euros. It wasn't overharvested as much as yours

Hang in there "MelVB", hopefully it will turn out better than expected and letting the hair grow a bit longer can only help.  Keep us posted it on your progress.

What are your next plans now?

Good idea, for now there aren’t any other options. Normally I have a fade but now I’ll have to do the same as you mate

Thanks John! It’s a bit longer now and that hides the bold spaces a bit more. There is still a little color different on the skin so shaving it short is’nt really an other option anymore.
