Moderators Al - Moderator Posted January 6, 2023 Moderators Share Posted January 6, 2023 You need to wait several days or else you risk grafts coming out or getting infected. You can/should spray the area every few hours with a saline solution using a spray bottle to keep the area from getting too dried out and also help remove any dried blood. You should ask your Dr for exact instructions. They should have told you or given you written instructions of what to do. Senior Member mister_25 Posted January 6, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2023 I went to the clinic for the first 3 days post op to get it washed there. Then I started washing on my own very carefully at Day 4. 1 12+ Months Finasteride + Minoxidil 3872 FUE w/ Dr Hasson | November 2022

Senior Member mavigo Posted January 8, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted January 8, 2023 (edited) They allowed me to wash my head the second day after they had washed mine the first time. Under strict procedures such as no direct shower contact for ~ 1 - 2 weeks, using a cup with soapy water to pour over the grafts. I would follow the advice of the clinic, if they want to wash your hair the next day then let them. My hair was washed by the clinic the day after. 1 FUE 2400 Grafts (2023) - Dr. Panine; Chicago Hair Transplant Clinic FUT 1400 Grafts (2019) - Dr. Steven Paul Holt; Holt Hair Restoration/Bella

You had no direct shower contact with recipient for 12 weeks post op? That's ridiculous Edited January 8, 2023 by GoliGoliGoli

Basically you don't blast the area with water if you still have scabs (takes 1-2 weeks to fall off). 1 FUE 2400 Grafts (2023) - Dr. Panine; Chicago Hair Transplant Clinic FUT 1400 Grafts (2019) - Dr. Steven Paul Holt; Holt Hair Restoration/Bella
Rahal Hair Transplant
@AndyFreecs, it’s important that you follow your physicians postoperative instructions which will also include specific instructions on how to wash your hair and scalp post transplant. Yes, it’s OK to wash your hair and scalp according to the specific instructions you’re given 24 hours afterwards, but you won’t be able to resume normal showering for A few days. I have found that instructions very From Clinic to Clinic. Some will have you avoid normal showering for a week or two while others will have you shower and normally I’m working on the scabs within a few days. I hope this helps Rahal Hair Transplant Rahal Hair Transplant Institute - Answers to questions, posts or any comments from this account should not be taken or construed as medical advice.
