Regular Member Ben123 Posted June 8, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted June 8, 2022 6 months update, new haircut last week. Things are progressing really well, still a weak spot in the crown that hasn't fully filled in but pretty sure it will by end of year hopefully. If it does it will likely be my last transplant assuming my haireloss stays stable. Unless I get a bad case of hair greed and go for minor improvements on my left temple and strengthening of middle scalp 😅
THE TRUTH
Great result on the hairline. Almost perfect. The crown has improved a lot compared to baseline but like you said it still has a weak spot. But as we all know the crown is the black hole so be prepared for a touch-up or a 3rd round. Overall great result. Very solid work. Did Dr. Hasson perform the incisions ? I guess the techs did the extractions and implantation ? I'm hoping I won't need a 3rd pass on the crown, considering the fact the crown is normally slower to fully grow 18 months compared to the front and my crown is already this good at just 6 months I'm positive that by the end of 18 months it'll be fully covered or worst case I'll need a small touch up. Yes Hasson did the incisions and the techs did extractions and implantation.
Regular Member Ben123 Posted July 9, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 9, 2022 7 months update, not much change sadly. Different phone so picture quality should be better. I really hope the weak spot will fill in because I think that 2500 grafts should be more than enough for full coverage in the crown considering my starting point.

Thanks, regarding the weak spot do you think there’s more time for new hair to sprout after 7 months? or at this point it’s just hair maturation? New sprouting after 6 months is highly unlikely due to the natural follicular cycle. It's all about maturation and refinement now. Your result is excellent. I don't think it could possibly be better. Don't worry about the remaining weak spot on the crown. A touch-up of 500 grafts will do the trick.
Regular Member CaliforniaLiving Posted July 11, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted July 11, 2022 Great result! Echoing what everyone else said here- the crown is just fine. I personally wouldn't even bother- just use toppik when you are going to a special event otherwise it looks perfectly fine the way it is. Cheers! Senior Member GoliGoliGoli Posted July 11, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted July 11, 2022 (edited) Damn looks good man. I'm going in for 1st HT in November and getting 2500 hairline 1500 crown and I believe I am capped at 4000 grafts. I'm worried I won't get results like your's because will only be able to do 1500 on crown Edited July 11, 2022 by GoliGoliGoli
Regular Member davidn Posted July 11, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted July 11, 2022 People who suffer from hair loss tend to have absolute ocd around hair loss. NO ONE in the real world would think that you are balding, it looks 10/10 full head of hair, I absolutely wouldn't bother with toppik.

I hope there will be some new hair sprouting and enough maturation that a touch up won’t be necessary, already had a total of 5500 grafts used. 3000 for front and 2500 for crown. 10 hours ago, GoliGoliGoli said: Damn looks good man. You definitely still have room for maturation. Honestly I had my crown done by Dr. Wong and the result at 12 months wasn't nearly as good as 16 months. I also still felt hairs poking through at 9 months which blew my mind lol.

Regular Member Ben123 Posted July 30, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted July 30, 2022 7 months and 3 weeks decided to update early since noticed a strong improvement in the small weak area and by this point I’m super glad I invested all this time and money and decided to get the 2 hair transplants, such a huge difference and crazy feeling to have a full head of hair again. Hopefully finasteride will maintain my hair for a few more decades.
