Hi again, here is the seven month update!

As mentioned in the six month update, lighting is a huge factor to the result.
When I'm in more direct light (ie. sunlight, near a window); it looks a whole lot thinner.
However, when moving away into the middle of a naturally lit room, it looks a whole lot better.

One thing worth mentioning is that I was seeing 20-30 hairs fall our each day this month!
I don't know if it's a seasonal shed but it certainly made me worried all month.
It doesn't seem to have made a visual change in regards to the density, would love to know your thoughts.

No hair product for reference.

Month eight update! 

Here are the results thus far, I've booked in to get some SMP work done to help improve density. 😄

I got a minor hair cut since the last photo, about an inch off the top. 

Once again lighting plays a BIG FACTOR.  I'll show samples of this also.
Another thing worth noting is that I'm seeing 20-40 hairs a day in the sink.

Hi, from what I see in your hair in these two photos is what is typically done in Turkey.. not saying it's a bad result, in fact your grafts are growing very healthy and match your existing hair.. however the angles and directions of how the grafts were placed seem to be growing up straight rather than forward. The way they made your incisions makes it difficult for the hair to grow in a way of creating natural illusion. For example:  You're seeing everything like this  l l l l l rather than a mixture of something like this /l/l/l/.   If the incisions were made with a less vertical angle you might have had a better concealment of your scalp with the exact same number of grafts you have. Another factor (and probably big reason for scalp visibility) is that with scalp showing would also be that the natural hair you had in the beginning before the transplant might have thinned out completely or worse case scenario fell out after a few months, which never helps.  I don't know if you're on medication?  It's always a must.  Again, in my case I regret not being on oral Finasteride for a number of reasons.

In my opinion you still look good because the hairline shape matches your profile well, especially since it's good that the clinic you chose made good use of single grafts on the first row. Nobody outside is going to question you or look twice at your hair. You seem happy about the result and I don't want to come across as someone writing negativity or trying to find tiny faults!

You mentioned you're at 8 months now, which is not far from the end of the journey but there is always always a chance for growth improvement which will make you delighted

Hi, yes you're 100% correct in saying this.  While researching I also noticed most Turkish clinics have the grafts pointing upwards rather than in a more natural position.
To be fair I like styling my hair up anyway so it doesn't bother me, but this may cause having a fringe rather difficult when your hair length is under three inches.

Currently I'm on Finasteride friend.
Thank you for your kind words, getting SMP to attempt to fill in those gaps so it's less noticeable in the sun; I'll post an update here when the SMP is complete.

Your result reminds me of Matej Kacvinsky's who has a youtube channel under the name of 'Matt Dominance". 

He went to Balwi for his first hair transplant and got the exact same type of result. 

Nice improvement, frames your face nicely but it has that signature missing density... 

Consider yourself lucky bro because I have seen really bad work from Elithair. I am talking about overharvested donor areas etc...

Your result is pretty good for Elithair. 

I've seen some outstanding results from Elithair such as Damien Ferry, Michael the British guy on youtube but also disasters. 

But I guess just like Dr. Cinik,  most of their results turn out like yours.

It is always a risk having tech's do the surgery, that's for sure.
We don't know how experienced they are and how long they've worked at the clinic.

As far as Elithair goes, I think I've gotten a pretty good result so far.
SMP has saved me from needing a second transplant too I think, looking forward to posting some results.

Do you have any examples of bad results from Elithair? I'm curious to look at them.

Month nine update! 

I've had two SMP sessions since my last update, the sessions were done on my crown/mid-scalp & hairline (entire top).  I'm due another one or two sessions.

Reflecting on older pictures, I think the additional SMP treatment has definitely helped with density.
I'll make a thread reviewing the SMP treatment also once all the sessions are completed & healed.

(Ignore the colour highlights in my hair, I did them myself and are not a side effect of the transplant or SMP)

Not a whole lot has changed since my last post.  My hair is continuing to grow longer and longer.
Due to have another SMP treatment on the 23rd of this month.

You'll notice that the SMP has settled and faded down a lot to the appropriate shade.
There are also a couple of spots, I think this might just be a couple of insect bites though.

As usual lighting is a big factor in terms of result, I'll post as many examples as possible.
Any questions please ask.

I hate this photo, but I think it's important to show how a hair transplant can affect mental health, weight & confidence.

This is a photo before my transplant.  I was depressed about hair loss, it caused a lot of mental issues, wasn't eating well as a side effect of it.
I was around 54kg at the time (5ft 9 for reference).

To compare now, I'm a much more confident person.
Sitting at 72kg, I go to the gym now, have made friends that I wouldn't have otherwise due to self esteem issues.
Much happier person overall and any mental health issues due to hair loss has passed.

I really hope you all find happiness in your hair restoration journeys.
It's a shame that men are expected 'not to talk' about these issues.  To 'just shave it off' and 'suck it up'.

Do what makes you happy.

Amazing story, really touched me. Shows what a positive change hair transplants can bring to peoples lifes. Yes it is annoying. Many men lose a lot of confidence in their looks and feel anxious. Shaving it off can be relieving for many guys for sure. That is amazing. However it does not work for all and society to tell these men what and what not to do and tell them its something deeper and not the hair loss I find a bit encroaching. Why is it so hard to accept it is exactly that. A man who doesnt like a change to his looks which he has limited control over and making him feel older than he is making him depressed.

Thank you friend, it's important to know that I felt like I needed SMP to help improve the density after the transplant, so that was another 1400 Euro with another clinic.   Will be reviewing them also after my third session.
