Senior Member Jotronic Posted July 22, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 22, 2009 This patient had two previous "1000 graft each" surgeries in the UK that left him with with these unsatisfactory results depicted in the before photos. Dr. Hasson placed the majority of the 4371 grafts in the frontal zone both to provide naturalness and hide the old work. Some grafts were placed mid scalp and into the crown for overall balance. This patient will be back for scar revision to reduce the scar from his UK procedures and to add density in the mid scalp and crown. Guest comb
Fantastic, as always! He must be thrilled after his previous terrible results. The scar in the pre-op pics looks very low, I'm guessing Dr Hasson made a new incision?
Senior Member Jotronic Posted July 22, 2009 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 22, 2009 Comb, Doug here, I'm posting occasionally while Joe is away. The patient is thrilled! He used to shave his head to hide the old work as his only option. Dr. Hasson made a new incision above the previous scar which has healed well. The patient wanted as many grafts as possible with the old scar being a low priority for him. This previous scar is lower than Dr. Hasson would have gone and located where it can tend to stretch. But, an improvement with a revision is expected. Look for this patient's video on Friday! Senior Member splitting hairs Posted July 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 This result is truly amazing, as are all of H&W's results I've seen. When I'm ready for a transplant, I know where I'm going!! _________________________________________________ Propecia since July 2008 2201 Grafts with Dr Lorenzo on 19.10.22 - See my write up here:
Guest comb
That old scar is indeed extremely low, which could be one of the reasons why it's quite wide. But even if he does nothing about it, he has all this hair on top, so he will never have to cut it short.
Senior Member omy Posted July 23, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 Excellent result . I feel the decision to avoid the lower scar for now was wise . The patient had a need for grafts that was the immediate problem . The donor can be worked on at the patients discression . Again really nice results .
