Caffeine after Hair transplant

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys,

i've heard that one should avoid consuming caffeine after a hairtransplant?

Is caffeine consumption itself harmful to hair? (Im really struggling not to drink any caffeine...)

If not: When can i drink caffeine without harming the hair?

I hope you can enlighten me. :)

Caffeine is fine afterward, it’s only prior to surgery that you should avoid it.

There was a study years ago showing that moderate caffeine consumption significantly decreased cerebral blood flow, which is crucial for the new grafts in the first few days. That being said it's weird but it doesn't seem to be on the banned list like smoking, alcohol according to most surgeons.

But just to be safe I drank decaff in the first week or so.
