Regular Member Ron5566 Posted September 22, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted September 22, 2020 Hey guys, I know it's not possible to transplant over 50 grafts cm2 in a single surgery but let's say year/2 years later after the area has healed, does it possible to have another 50 grafts on the same area? (Let's say the person is Norwood 1, 65 years old with plenty of donor and not going to lose a single hair from his head).
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted September 22, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 22, 2020 Can you transplant the same area again? Yes. Can you do another 50 grafts per cm2? No. Even if you could, that would be unethical. You don't need 100 grafts per cm2 to achieve density. Donor preservation needs to be considered, if you're a Norwood 1 at 65, why on earth would you even consider surgery. I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member Britanium Posted September 22, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 22, 2020 Hair greed is very real but we all have to have realistic goals. So called dense packing occurs but not by overdoing the grafts per cm2.
