Regular Member Foundation Posted December 8, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted December 8, 2008 So it's been 5 days, and I'm heading back to work today. I don't even want to write what it is I do, the fear sinking in right now is unreal. I've spent the last hour trying to look like I haven't had a hair transplant, now I just look like a creep with a comb over at 27 (with a face that looks 20... extra creepy). Regular Member crow1 Posted December 8, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted December 8, 2008 Foundation, No worries, hair looks fine. I think it's all in your head.
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted December 8, 2008 Moderators Share Posted December 8, 2008 Doesn't look like a combover. Just looks like you're combing your hair forward. Looks like it covers it pretty well. But I know how you feel. I was doing a combover at 19 and got told by my mother that I combed my hair like a 40 something year old bald guy. Yeah that made my day. Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a paid forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Bill - Seemiller
Foundation, I don't see any sign of a hair transplant in your photos. You did a great job concealing it and making it look natural. Try not to worry so much Bill
Senior Member Eman Posted December 8, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted December 8, 2008 Looks fine. You can do what most of us wanted to do when going back to work. Granted I had nothing on top to cover the HT. Just super glue it in that position and no one will ever know. My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out... Regular Member Foundation Posted December 8, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 8, 2008 Thanks guys, but I have to tell you, those pictures do me much more justice than I deserve. While no one noticed my HT at work today, people did notice that I "looked like hell", "looked horrible", and continuously asked me if I still had the flu, (which was my excuse for being out for three days last week). I've gotta say, I know in the long run I'll appreciate the Doc shaving part of my hairline to do this procedure, but as of right now I'm missing those 800 Bosley grafts pretty badly (regardless of how spaced they were) Thanks for the support again guys, Eman, you're a good guy and your work looks great too! Although, to be honest, I thought you made a pretty cool looking balding guy to begin with. You lucky blond bastards. 800+- Bosley NY, June 2005 1300+- Dr. Feller, December 2008 http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1021 _____________________________________ We should be on here to help and look out for each other, not to make someone feel worse about their situation. Regular Member Foundation Posted December 8, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 8, 2008 Yep, been taking 3,000 mg a day since Thursday. Hope it works, I could use the coverage. Senior Member Eman Posted December 8, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted December 8, 2008 Foundation- thanks buddy! Just remember, you will always be your own worse critic. Fortunately, that is a good thing because most people won't even realize what you have done. You can still get sunburned off the winter sun reflection off my dome...in other words comparatively speaking no one will be able to tell even with your 75-year old comb-over (even though it doesn't look like that). Get creative with your hairdoos... My initial HT thread: done and done!! Check it out...
Senior Member DDD03 Posted December 9, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted December 9, 2008 Foundation, do you have any before pics? Good luck with everything. Keep us updated My Hair Loss WebLog
Regular Member tofueornottofue Posted December 9, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted December 9, 2008 Foundation Things look fine at 5 days, soon the scabs will be gone and the "cover up" will be easier. Question...for 1300 grafts, do you have the 1,2,3 hair count? Also, how long was the scar? Ear to ear, or smaller for only 1300 grafts? I'm asking because I'm looking at similar HT. good luck bro
Regular Member Foundation Posted December 9, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 9, 2008 Hey guys, I got a little better with the styling today, it didn't look as ridiculous. I pretty much just air dried and left the house. DDD03, just got the photos from Spex. Like I say in the blog, those are really not a great indicator, I will try to find some pictures that show my hairline for what it really is. Tofueornottofu (ah, I just got it. Haha). Thanks for the words of encouragement. Let me tell you, if it is a scar length you fear, than I will not make you feel any better. I was very surprised when I felt the staples, but my scar is full on ear to ear. There goes shaving the dome in the future I guess. As for the numbers, the Doc did 1200 1's and I had about 125-150 extra that he placed for free, which was cool. So I assume those were doubles. It's hard (impossible) to tell by looking though, so I'm really not sure. I think that's what you're asking. Hope that helps a little.
