  1. Well these people are most likely trying to avoid hurting your feelings. Your pictures show definite signs of thinning. Sack up and give propecia a shot if you are worried about your hair. Or just leave everything to chance...
  2. I always come out of the woodwork to do some L Shapiro bashing Your story sound way too familiar. I experienced EXACTLY the same upsell on the day of the procedure a few years ago. 500 grafts extra. I obviously agreed because I felt if I didn't I wouldn't get the results achieved. And I would be willing to guess he gave me less than half the grafts promised. What a sham. 5 years later and I've gone through 2 operations to try to hide the pluggy grafts he gave me. Dr. Feller has photos of grafts in my hairline that had over five hairs in them. Excuse my french but Larry Shapiro is a piece of sh*t and I hope karma delivers him the Mack truck treatment one of these days.
  3. Way to lay down the hammer Bill! This one is down for the 10 count...
  4. Faceless... U are faceless no more... change your name please. Give ureself some credit. Looks great
  5. Sen't Dr. F the pics and he said that what I am seeing is my previous scar. I do remember him saying that he was able to get "most" of it out during the procedure. I'm hoping that some of what I am seeing is also due to shockloss. Unfortunate, but it is what it is. He also said that it was too early to see any streching. Wondering anyone's thoughts on this. I could live with the previous scar I had but by no means would I be "happy" with it. I was able to get down to a #6 at best. If it ends up worse than it was I'm going to extremely unhappy. Wishing for the best. Such an extremely difficult and emotionally draining process.
  6. I'm really freaking out. I don't know whether my scar has streched a bunch or there is just alot of shock loss. There is one area that is pretty much completely bald and looks red and pink like a scar. Its below where I took the staples out yesterday. My whole left side looks ok but the right side is miserable.
  7. Super NATURAL results. Congrats. I'm sure ure pretty pumped and it's crazy you still have some growing to do!
  8. How about shock loss as soon as 2 weeks? Just took out my staples and it wasn't a pretty sight. Alot of redness and what seems to be like a large loss of hair under the scar.
  9. FYI, I chose a Dr. in South Florida who has done (or atleast claims) over 11,000 procedures. Didn't make a difference. I turned out with horrible/pluggy results. Quit screwing around with these off the wall clinics. Go with a respected Doctor, not the name of some hair factory where your fate is up in the air. Go see Feller, H&W, Shapiro, Rahal, or some of the other extremely well respected Doctors in the US. Be smart my man. Take care
  10. Usually take 12-15 months to see the full effects of a transplant. Even after those months the hairs will tend to thicken. Usually you want to see how the first one looks before you get a second You also want to regain some laxity if you are going the Strip route
  11. Pretty impossible question to answer. It's all going to depend on your personal situation.
  12. Opinion: Spend months researching on this site. Don't jump into anything too quick. DO NOT LET LOCATION DICTATE YOUR DECISION ON CHOICE OF DOCTOR. Best of luck!
  13. My scar seems to have quite a bit of scabbing where the closure is and I am 8 days post-op. I was hoping for it to look a bit cleaner at the closure by now. Is this normal? Please see my Weblog as it wouldn't let me put the photo on the discussion board because of size. I think it looks a little worse in real life actually. Really praying for a decent scar!!!

  15. Don't know anything about Transmed. Doesn't sound like you know enough either. Do more research and wait until your job/financial situation allows you to see a world class doctor.
  16. I think it is acceptable for Dr.'s to perform more than one surgery in a day as long as they keep within certain limits. My procedure last Tuesday (1400 grafts) started at 8 a.m and ended around 12:30 p.m. I felt as though I received maximum attention and detail throughout the entire procedure. There were atleast 6 techs and the Doctor giving me their full attention. Later in the day after some rest my Doctor performed a FUE of around 200 grafts. I can't imagine it took him more than a couple of hours Can't really see any harm as long as there not trying to outperform their abilities. Now my previous procedure with a different Doctor... I was told when I scheduled that I should come in at around 11 a.m. I was called in the morning on the day of surgery and told that they would call me when they were ready for me (they were obviously performing another procedure). I waited and waited and waited. 2 P.M. they called and told me to come over. The procedure lasted until 8 p.m at night. I can pretty much gaurantee you the Doctor worked about 12 hours straight. Guess I shouldn't have been surprised that the results were less than optimal
  17. Hope so! I'm in the same boat. It's obviously a bit scary to see our little friends leave us but if all goes as planned those suckers will come back with time! My hairline looked a little more packed a few days ago but I know some of the scabs have come off and some hairs have fallen out. I really dont see much sign of where they were but hopefully the evidence will show up in a few months.
  18. Anybody have thoughts on when it's ok to go for a jog? If I can't lift weights I'd love to get rid of this beer gut!
  19. Thanks for the info. Had my procedure with Feller and definately didn't get any post-op instructions about putting anything on the scar. Think I am probably going to just let it run its course. Praying my scar comes out decent. Can't imagine Vit E, etc. can do anthing about tension and stretching. Couldn't really pull off a #6 with my last procedure. I'm shooting for a #5 with this one and I'll be exctatic! Don't want to get my hopes too high
  20. How long should you wait to start putting Vitamin E on the scar? Thanks!
  21. I think this may depend on what you are trying to accomplish. Just for Men (if I am not correct I apologize) is more designed to camoflauge your grey hairs in with the rest of your hair. If you have to much grey I can see how it would give you that orangeish look. I have been using Just for Men for over a year (only on my temple points and sides) and it seems to work great. Just my opinion.
  22. I envision this argument going on for a long long time unless Bill puts an end to it! Both of you seem pretty hard headed and are looking to somehow earn a symbolic victory with this thread. Is it really worth it? I think we should all put away the guns, form a circle, hold hands, and sing some kumbaya together. We could even do it in succession... Ok, I'll start, then LMS, then Ron....Ready? Kumbaya my lord...Kumbaya...
  23. Intersting. After 7 months your grafts should be absolutely secure. Keep your cool and I'm sure your HT Doc should be able to clear things up for you
