Regular Member gtz101 Posted February 27, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted February 27, 2010 After the HT surgery, how easily were people able to notice you have done something to your scalp? I will be getting my front hairline done later in March and was thinking of brushing my hair forward so it hides the HT area. Is that what others try to do? Senior Member mmhce Posted February 27, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2010 how easily were people able to notice you have done something to your scalp? Perhaps, I was a bit insensitive. No. It won't be that detectable if you're just doing the hairlines. brushing my hair forward so it hides the HT area. Start combing your hair forward now, so that people won't notice a sudden change in hair style. I comb my hair forward. take care...
Senior Member Severn Posted February 27, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2010 I guess it depends on how short you are wearing your hair and whether it's FUE or FUT. I had mine done in the crown and my existing hair covered up the scar. When I went to have the sutures removed at my local doc, they didn't really understand where the implants were. They thought the transplanted hairs were just my normal hairs cut shorter. My Hair Loss Web Site - Dr. Ron Shapiro
Senior Member Megatron Posted February 27, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted February 27, 2010 No one has noticed, at least not yet. I think if someone looked closely they'd easily spot that I have all kinds of stubble in front of my natural hair. but, they'd have to be knowledgeable of HT to realize what I did. The donor is very difficult to spot. My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Simmons
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted February 28, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted February 28, 2010 I had my hair shaved and still no one noticed. I did stay inside my apartment for the first two weeks. But I either I was always wearing a hat or when I couldn't, I just said I made a mistake cutting my own hair so I shaved it. No one assumed a HT. Regular Member PathsPatient Posted March 4, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted March 4, 2010 So far nobody noticed at work. I work in a close environment with others that know me well. I think one of them may have noticed something I caught starring but all he said was "You forgot your brush at home?" I replied yes happily.. I have covered any grafts except of course for the little bit below where I part it, but you cannot tell unless very close. Regular Member From Bald To Bold Posted March 4, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted March 4, 2010 I stayed home 1 day and went to work after that. Everyone in the office knew I was getting a HT so I was fine. As for others, I laid low for about a week and no one seemed to notice.
