Senior Member gillenator Posted February 12, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2019 You want to use as strong caliber of donor hair as possible to grow through scar tissue. The other obvious issue is how reliable is the BH source being considered? Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. Senior Member Curious Posted February 12, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted February 12, 2019 If you plan on shaving your head, I question the wisdom of having a hair transplant. Unless you heal well, evidence of the donor extractions will be visible, with a shaved head. Better to grow your hair longer and cover the extraction marks.
