Airport/Travelling with Finasteride/Dutasteride/Minoxidil/Folligen

I would like to find out:

 

1. Are there any air travel restrictions with respect to finasteride or minoxidil?

 

2. Is it ok, to simply put your minoxidil or finasteride in the zip loc bag?

 

3. Do you have to show a prescription to the security officials for your finasteride?

 

4. Similarily, do you have to show a prescription to the security officials for your dutasteride?

 

5. Any security official hold-up for the minoxidil due to the volumetric size or because minoxidil has alcohol in it?

 

6. Since Folligen is a lotion/cream (gel-like) in consistency, and such items are prohibited as carry-on luggage, has anyone, managed to get on the plane as carry-on? Any security hold-ups?

I think you'll be fine with the Folligen, but the minoxidil will have to be in an appropriate sized container in a zip lock bag. There should be no problem with finasteride.

 

It's always a good idea to call the airline you are flying with to get their official travel and carry-on policies.

With liquids, customs didn't seem too concerned with it not being in a bag, but it being over 100 mL.
