Regular Member jg23 Posted July 13, 2018 Regular Member Share Posted July 13, 2018 Hi All, After many years of research I am finally having my procedure next week in India. I understand that my surgeon will play a large part in the success of my procedure, however I was wondering if there is anything I can do on my end to ensure the best result. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted July 13, 2018 Administrators Share Posted July 13, 2018 If you smoke, I would say stop or limit smoking, try not to be too gentle and make sure the recipient sites are clean. Try to avoid strenuous activity for at least two weeks if you're having FUE or one month if you're having FUT. Most importantly, follow your clinics instructions. Senior Member pkipling Posted July 13, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2018 Your clinic will give you an extensive list of Dos and Don'ts, so make sure to follow those. Keeping your scalp out of the sun for the first 6 months is a huge one, and like Melvin said, make sure you're properly cleaning your scalp. A lot of guys are so afraid of damaging their grafts, they don't clean/shampoo properly the week or so following the procedure and this can just make things significantly more complicated. I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
