Senior Member bman3082 Posted June 24, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted June 24, 2018 I really don't want to use minox, it dries my face out really bad. Is it necessary to take after a transplant? I would rather do prp or something
Senior Member AB2000 Posted June 24, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted June 24, 2018 In my case I was told to stop using minoxidil for two weeks prior to the surgery and the use it for a year afterwards, to achieve the best yield. Not sure if there is something you can take to ameliorate the dryness, but I'd look into it. My Hair Loss Website
BHRClinic
Hi literalno, I would not say it is a "mandatory", but in case you have some shock loss in the donor or in and around the transplanted, being on medication such a Propecia will limit shock loss and going on Minoxidil also (2 weeks post-surgery) may also speed up the regrowth process. Nevertheless, the use of medication in mainly advised to help the native hair and keep stable the possible hair loss.
