Bill - Seemiller
Sparky, You, like everyone else is entitled to your opinion. And though I would never discredit your personal experience, I think sometimes we let our personal experiences give us tunnel vision. Circumstances that cause pain and heartache often promotes distrust. But often times, blame is misplaced and/or transferred into larger circles. Women who are hurt by one or two men in previous relationships will often use statements like "All men are pigs". Instead of recognizing that there are some good men out there, all men are blamed. A certain level of caution and even skepticism is healthy in life. It minimizes the possibility of us being mistreated. However, similar to how I'd tell the girl who's been hurt by one man - don't let your personal experience with one person or group of people cause you to pass blame to a larger group. I am sorry that you've been burned in the past. But I imagine if you are left with sub-par work, that it may be able to be repaired. Good luck my friend! Senior Member Sparky Posted September 2, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 2, 2009 Bill, I do believe you are a force for good on this forum, and have always respected your views. My situation is certainly not as dire as a lot that I have seen, I'm right at the bottom of the repair scale. I can brush my hair back and not get any looks at all, my wife didnt even know that I had, had anything done until I came clean, that being said, I know that I recieved a sub par bunch of HT's, but then I know what I am looking at. I had 1 HT with the infamous Norton that gave me a strip scar for 250 grafts! The 3 HT's with Wellsbourne, all the transplanted hair is mis-angled so if I dont put a load of wax on it when I style, it wont go where it it supposed to. Hence I am having 500 grafts from the mis-angled section put into the scar, then I go back in Feb next year to re fill the hairline in with correctly angled hairs, softer hairs. (not from the nape!) I will do a blog once I am finished, but I cant bring myself to do that until I'm all done. I'll PM you so you can have a look at it then. Thanks. Senior Member Sparky Posted September 3, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted September 3, 2009 I know all about your butchering at the hands of Norton mate, I'm sure that he hasnt given any of his patients a good result ever, he didnt care nor did he have any skill. He just prayed on our insecurites as young lads (I was 22). I was a Norwood 1.5 at the most with no miniturisation on top, when he cut into me. I had a similar hairline as Tom Cruise at the time, and now I'm only just a natural norwood 2 at 33. Not sure what I would do if I saw him walking along somewhere. Did you have Phil Edmonson as your HT salesman, when going to Norton? jaybird
Just seen this post and for the record the guy mentioned was actually done by Dr Farjo.Although it was a long time ago and we certainly would not have considered even keeping him on our website. The reason we did is that he is advertised by a different clinic as being their patient. As far as i am aware he never had work done elsewhere but cannot confirm this.Personally i think that Sole man has adopted the right approach and is looking at the bigger picture rather than just short term gain.More should take a leaf from his book and give this approach greater credence.Sparky should you ever consider surgery ask to meet patients rather than relying on pictures, it will give you a truer picture of what can be achieved. Mick Hi Mick, I've got a consultation with Dr. Fargo in London coming up and was looking for some added advise please. Does he specialise in FUE technique do you know, and have proven track record? Is it possible to meet/speak with patients whom have recently had work done prior or during the initial consultation? Any advise would be greatly appreciated thanks!! Farjo don't do fue at the moment, I think it's something they have considered, but they don't do it at the moment.
