Regular Member hairvanity Posted September 17, 2017 Regular Member Share Posted September 17, 2017 Lately I've been hearing about doctors that use a Triple-Bladed Scalpel. What is the benefits of using this, is it appropriate? What's it for?
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted September 17, 2017 Moderators Share Posted September 17, 2017 (edited) Triple blade scalpels were used in the 80s and early 90s. Stay away from any Dr using one of these. Edited September 18, 2017 by BeHappy Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Senior Member Speegs Posted September 18, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted September 18, 2017 Wow, my apologies for the picture creating some sort of buggy code in the post, one that made the edit feature disappear. Mods, please feel free to clean that up, that was not my intent, I do apologize. I was attempting to show you a picture about how unsuitable such a scalpel is for hair restoration surgery. Moderators Al - Moderator Posted September 18, 2017 Moderators Share Posted September 18, 2017 Hmm. So a triple blade scalpel butchers forum posts too. Lol. That was actually a perfect example of what a triple blade scalpel will do. Hehe Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Senior Member Spanker Posted September 18, 2017 Senior Member Share Posted September 18, 2017 They are right. what it is meant for is to get multiple strips with on cut motion, what it does is transects the crap out of your grafts and leaves a wider scar. You can't find anyone worth using still using one. I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians.
