Hi Everyone,

 

I was at my best friends engagement party last night. I ended up having about 6 drinks then I Ubered home. I'm just curious if I should re-schedule my surgery, how serious is having drinks four days before my scheduled date of operation?

 

Please let me know, as I am now concerned.

do not reschedule. 4 days is plenty of time for ALL alcohol to be out of system. Alcohol thins the blood. that could be an issue for surgery if it was 24-48 hours. You are fine. Drink water and stay away from drinks and you will be more than fine. the alcohol is probably already out of system now

to be on the safe side contact the clinic ,just in case anything goes wrong you don't want that to be used as a reason for it not being successful, but i would imagine 4 days is OK ,I didn't drink 2 weeks pre op and about 10 days post , but contact them just to be sure

You'll be fine. Alcohol thins the blood and will cause excess bleeding, but your system should be clear of it within 4 days.

I agree with the others that you should be completely safe however, I do suggest giving your hair transplant clank a call just to doublecheck. As they say err on the side of caution.

You are likely just fine, get hydrated and for peace of mind let the physician you're entrusting with your procedure know just in case they want to throw caution to the wind in the matter.
