Shock following large FUE procedure

As some of you may have read I had 5000 grafts via FUE at ASMED over the past two days. The first day was a breeze and I couldn't believe how easy I found the process. I went into the second day with no worries whatsoever. My experience over the two days was like night and day. I struggled physically and mentally on day two. The last few hours I was in constant pain, not excruciating pain but a constant slight sensation of scratching on my head. My body was hurting from where I was constantly tensing as well.

Once I had finally finished they took great care of me trying to get my blood sugar levels up and making sure I was okay before I left. Once back at the hotel I felt cold, I was shaking, felt a little anxious. I appreciate it is a lot of trauma for one person to go through but I'm wondering if anyone else experienced anything like this afterwards.

I now understand why so many users recommend smaller sessions. I have a really good pain threshold before that is raised, I'm just curious if any other users experienced anything similar after a large session.

I feel much better this morning after getting 7 hours sleep but still a little shakey and cold. I have no fever, I don't feel ill and not experiencing any pain in recipient or donor area. Anyone else feel like this?

I haven't heard about it during a hair transplant but shivering when coming out of a general anaesthesia is common, I had it coming out of a shoulder surgery and they just gave me a hit of morphine and it chilled me right out. It's possible due to it being a larger procedure and having to use of lots of anaesthesia it may have caused a similar effect for you.

They can keep the surgery rooms in most clinics quite cold to protect the grafts and I guess also Istanbul is also approaching winter now. Not to mention the stress of the large surgery you just underwent. Hope everything is getting better today.

I remember feeling cold during my recent smaller procedures, but not so much after.

Try to take it easy before flying back. When is the return flight?

go dense or go home

That's what the staff at ASMED said as well. Two days of sitting in a room kept constantly at 4 degrees Celsius probably just gave me the chills.

Feeling much better today. I fly home later on and I'm sure I'll feel better once I get back to my home comforts. Thanks
