Regular Member cjhunter666 Posted October 29, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted October 29, 2016 Hi all. I know it's normal for the hair from the grafts to shed after surgery but I thought that occurred after 6 weeks. I'm at three weeks ppst op and they are falling out. Is that normal? Cheers CJ
Senior Member voxman Posted October 29, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted October 29, 2016 Where did you get the 6 weeks thing? Not here. 3 week is perfectly normal. I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
Senior Member pkipling Posted October 29, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted October 29, 2016 I agree with Vox. 3 weeks is totally normal, so you have nothing to worry about. You're also out of the woods as far as potentially causing any damage to the grafts. So keep them out of the sun and hang tight for the next several months while you wait on your results. The waiting really is the hardest part... I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. Regular Member cjhunter666 Posted November 1, 2016 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 1, 2016 Okay thanks for your advice. I'm glad it's normal and I'll stop worrying. Cheers
Senior Member JohnCasper Posted November 3, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 3, 2016 The shedding process is quite normal at three weeks as the others have stated. The redness will continue to fade as well. You may develop some pimples which is also quite normal. You should see new growth in 3-4 months. Good luck and send us some pictures down the road. Regular Member richter101 Posted December 2, 2016 Regular Member Share Posted December 2, 2016 Hey CJ! I agree with all the above In my personal experience, it was shedding between the 3-6 week mark. Maybe started closer to 3 but then really progressed heading past 6. And in the end, everything came out phenomenal. I wish you the same!
