Rogain - foam vs liquid

Which do you guys prefer? The foam seems a lot easier for hair styling. Heck, it even smells nice. But, it doesn't seem like it gets absorbed as well into the scalp.

What makes you think the foam isn't being absorbed as well? The absorption of the foam is maybe it's biggest selling point.

I think the foam gets absorbed into the scalp almost instantly. I use foam in the mornings and Kirkland minoxidil in the evenings, which leaves my head greasy for at least 2 hours.

Rogaine foam has proven to be more effective by about 21% than it's liquid counterpart in FDA trials. I've never used the foam, but have heard good things about it overall. That said, a few have reported aggressive shedding with the foam, moreso than the liquid.

I can confirm this. I switched from liquid to foam 3 years ago and almost immediatley I noticed a ton of shedding that never grew back. However I havent noticed any loss since.

the foam doesn't seem to make it down to the scalp for me. it gets picked up and absorbed immediately into the hair I find.

 

I haven't noticed increased shedding although I've only been on it a week.

It is good to know that you have not noticed any loss, as there are so many people I know had gone through some problems. Please just let me know from where you get this so, that I can let my friends to know about this.

It's strange you would recommend it to your friends given the fact you know so many people that have experienced problems with it; could you not just ask your other friends where they got it from? Maybe you could even offer it on your site ;-).

This happened to me also, have no idea what the mechanism is/was - but it still pisses me off.
