Senior Member Transhair Posted September 13, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted September 13, 2016 The hair transplant post op sheet instructed to oil the scalp with either olive oil or coconut oil on day 10 (or 12, kind of forget) and then wash off the scabs. I am mostly healed and trying to facilitate hair growth. Would the use of oils at this point on the grafted area help the grafts grow or benefit me in any way? Thanks for your response! I have suggested it for short term use to help removal of the scabs only at least one week after the procedure. Thanks to all who respond! In my post-op care with Dr. Umar in Los Angeles, I used oil-based minoxidil, a few month supply. Before going to his clinic I didn't know that form of minoxidil existed.
