  1. So I'm almost five months after a 2200 graft transplant. It looks very pluggy. The frontal hairline is dense for about 1/2-1 inch but then the transplanted hairs behind that are small or not noticeable at all. It looks bald and disconnected with the rest of the hair. What should I expect at 5 months? I saw some of the hairs coming in at two months and at four months I saw many more come in. Should I expect to see the majority of them by now at least to a small extent? Please help and respond, THANKS> BEN

  3. I am now one month after a hair transplant. My scalp is still pink and healing. What can i put on it that will heal it without the possibility of damaging grafts? 10. So a very knowledgeable man on here recently told me not to have a PRP treatment following a hair transplant. I believe him. He said I would risk temporary or even permanent shock hair loss if I did so. Has anyone tried this before or experienced this or heard about this?
  11. whoa! Good to hear that, i thought it would help with the shock loss, i know some surgeons perform PRP with the transplant
  12. one quick question, should i try a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy in my scalp to assist the growth? Have you ever looked into it?
  13. I recently received a hair transplant with 2200 grafts. About 100 were on each side of my head and most of the others on my crown and temples. I slept on my side on a soft pillow. What are the chances I lost grafts sleeping normally? I finished the procedure at 2 pm, kept the hair wet with copper peptide every hour, and fell asleep at 3 am (13 hours after surgery). Could I have lost some grafts by sleeping on my side with my head not elevated? It was a very soft pillow. There was blood on it and some hairs on it the following morning but I think they were normal hairs falling out, they looked too long to be grafts. I may just be paranoid and nervous post-op. THANKS TO ALL WHO RESPOND!!
  14. So you guys are agreeing that it's generally okay the same night of a hair transplant to sleep on some of your grafts?
  15. Help!!! I slept on grafts!!! So i had a hair transplant surgery recently. I slept with my head on two pillows. I slept on my sides and not in a reclined position on my back. My doctor was not very clear with me on how i should sleep after surgery. My surgery ended at 2 pm. I lay down at 3 am. What is the possibility that I lost grafts if i lay on my side where some of the grafts were touching the pillow and possibly rubbing a little for the first few days after a procedure. I saw a few hairs on the pillow on the days after but i am pretty sure they were shock loss hairs and not implanted graft hairs. They seemed too long to be grafts I slept on an extremely soft pillow but the grafts were touching the pillow. PLEASE ANSWER POLITELY. Thanks to all who answer, ESPECIALLY DOCTORS
  16. The blood i had on my pillow was blood that i couldnt tell was from my suture or from not washing hair ( i didnt wash my head until about 24 hours after operation was complete). I dont recall any new bleeding on the scalp, just blood on the pillow that probably came naturally as i had sprayed the scalp just before bed. It's good to hear that someone else slept normally like i did. I was just concerned about rubbing my head against the pillow and losing grafts. I did lose a couple of grafts on day 2 or 3, one from bumping my head and another just came out, so i know what they look like. I dont think what i saw on the pillow were graft but still i have stressed a lot after this procedure and know very little about all of this, which is why i am on this site to learn more
  17. Thanks, but could sleeping on grafts on your first night after a transplant dislodge them?

  19. So i had a hair transplant of 2192 grafts on Monday, Aug 29. Almost all were on the front of my head, temples, sides, etc. A few were placed in the back of my head where I am thinning in just a few spots. Last night, Sunday was six days later. I was scratching what I thought was just dried blood. As far as I know, only one graft came out. There was no bleeding but definitely a graft. I am very OCD and picked around on some dried bloody spots, mostly trying to not touch the graft or follicles. This went on for 15 minutes. But I am wondering if the bulb or whatever will make the hair grow fastest will stay in the head at day 6.5 if the graft is pulled out. I was pulling out what i thought was dried blood so it was pulling more than picking with fingernails. Again, i dont recall any blood. Please give me your best advice. I am done picking or pulling back there. Also, please don't be rude if respond! Thanks so much, BEN
