Senior Member Dutchie Posted January 28, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 28, 2016 Before you ask, no I'm not thinking of cancelling my H&W session for next week. I'm just curious what this is all about, and whether its for real or a total fraud. This doctor Gho claims he can transplant hair but instead of taking the entire hair he says he only takes part of the hairbulb, leaving the donor hair partially intact so it can repair itself and regrow at a later date. See here: http://www.hasci.com/en/hair-stem-cell-transplantation/ He says he's patented the whole idea and only a few licensed clinics offer this treatment (one of them in my hometown of Amsterdam). Video of 2 guys who had it done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PSVUrjEe_s Gerard Joling (Dutch celebrity): The benefit of this is you can keep going back to the same hair follicles. Although the technique apparently isnt perfect, occassionally the hairs in some follicles are destroyed. Opinions??

Senior Member gillenator Posted January 29, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 29, 2016 This methodology has been promoted for a long time and subsequently scrutinized for its lack of any consistent results. I personally would never risk something like this. We only have a finite number of usable follicles for transplantation and would rather go with a much more sure methodology rather than risking the potential damage.
