I know it takes typically a year post op to grow an optimal full head of hair. But how long on average does one need to wait before hair has regrown enough?

I think a good rule of thumb is that by month 18 you should see all the growth you're gonna get, and a large degree of maturing follicles.

I agree with the voxman, I am at the 12 month mark but there is still hairs playing catch -up , that's why I will put of any plans for a second transplant until month 18

There's no specific time for regrowth in any one case. Seeing results is a matter of how one responds to the trauma from surgery.

You should see substantial differences in months 9-12. However, if surgery wasn't done with a proper surgical protocol, then you may have to worry about the situation even more
