Senior Member Spidey Posted August 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted August 15, 2015 I am 9 days post op from my Fue procedure. My donor area is already healed and there are no scabs/crusts on my recipient site. I just buzzed my head with a number 1 guard and was extra careful around my recipient areas. I am now a bit concerned whether the grafts could be damaged. I know by day 10 they are supposed to be completely secured, however, is there a chance that they can be damaged via the vibration of the clippers? I know none of the grafts were pulled out, or any hairs for that matter, but was thinking about whether the roots itself could be traumatized. Might be a silly question. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted August 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted August 15, 2015 Congrats Spidey! I don't see any reason to be concerned about the vibration. Senior Member Spidey Posted August 15, 2015 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 15, 2015 Thanks for the reply David. I know there are a bunch of post op haircut threads, but they are regarding how secure the grafts are, but my concern wasn't about graft security. Thanks again for answering. Senior Member BaldingBogger Posted August 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted August 15, 2015 Not so IMO, I always buzzed down around 2 weeks post op and kept buzzing after that for a while. No damage ever done. Clinic always said once the scabbing is gone you are good to buzz around the 2 week mark.
Senior Member Indi9 Posted January 24, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted January 24, 2016 Hey Spidey... By now you must have figured out whether doing that buzz cut 9 days post your FUE did damage the follicles or have any adverse even in your hair growth like shock loss etc.. Eager to hear more on this from you Cheers!
