Regular Member SySperling10 Posted March 23, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted March 23, 2015 Fiber concealer? I use a soy wax pomade. Not committed to the soy wax part, I presume any lighter, non-oily pomade/wax/paste.

Senior Member MusoInOz Posted March 25, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted March 25, 2015 You need a hair lacquer. Not hairspray, hairspray does not give anywhere near the same hold as lacquer does. Any brand will do as well. "The road to success is always under construction" I represent Dr Rahal and the associated clinic as a paid patient advisor. PAM24
L'Oreal Design Spray. Very fine mist, dries quick and doesn't disperse fibres. I have used it for many years and now it only comes in stronger holds. Also I have used it with Toppik(garbage), Hair So Real and Caboki.
Regular Member SySperling10 Posted May 6, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 6, 2015 I think the spray is great is you have longer hair, but for shorter hair, you really do have to consider a compound that binds to the hair prior to adding fibers. tamsy
i used the hair spray in those big metal cans, like the ones people with big hair used in the 80s. it seemed to work just fine. the less liquidy they are, the better. some warnings about toppik if you are a heavy sweater when you work out or just normally, the toppik does make the sweat turn a different color it will come out in pools, showers, rain...get a good umbrella! it works really well on the crown, but can look a little suspect in the front, depending on how thin you are. but overall it is a GREAT product, i used it for 3 or 4 years until i buzzed my head. make sure you start finasteride in order to keep what you have, because if you dont, the toppik will become more and more noticeable. then, you will have to make a decison to either try and keep up with the lie even though it looks more and more noticeable, or buzz your head. then people will be like...uhh didnt he have hair yesterday? luckily, i just moved to a different country, so i buzzed my head and nobody knows. when i go back home, ill just say i went bald FAST in a year. if you get in finasteride, you could pull off the toppik lie for years to come...that was my mistake, i just got on it 3 months ago. good luck! Senior Member Torip Posted May 14, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2015 For me Toppik hair spray worked the best. It keeps my black hair look shiny and moist where as most other sprays make it look dry and not natural. Alcohol in most hair sprays makes hair dry and thus not recommended. I somewhat liked Garnier medium hold hair sprays as well in the past.
Regular Member Durhamboy Posted May 14, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted May 14, 2015 Agreed Toppik is best I used to use, pretty realistic too. Tried Maine spray in the Uk, terrible stuff.:eek::eek:
