  1. It mentions the devastating effects for women because so far it's only approved for use on women. Going to read that link, but if there is evidence that lasers work on hairless, why isn't anyone using them? If it's stops further hairless I'm all over that business. $500 is nothing to pay if it affords me a lifetime of hair. If I lost no more hair and even a little increase would be worth it big time.
  2. i used the hair spray in those big metal cans, like the ones people with big hair used in the 80s. it seemed to work just fine. the less liquidy they are, the better. some warnings about toppik if you are a heavy sweater when you work out or just normally, the toppik does make the sweat turn a different color it will come out in pools, showers, rain...get a good umbrella! it works really well on the crown, but can look a little suspect in the front, depending on how thin you are. but overall it is a GREAT product, i used it for 3 or 4 years until i buzzed my head. make sure you start finasteride in order to keep what you have, because if you dont, the toppik will become more and more noticeable. then, you will have to make a decison to either try and keep up with the lie even though it looks more and more noticeable, or buzz your head. then people will be like...uhh didnt he have hair yesterday? luckily, i just moved to a different country, so i buzzed my head and nobody knows. when i go back home, ill just say i went bald FAST in a year. if you get in finasteride, you could pull off the toppik lie for years to come...that was my mistake, i just got on it 3 months ago. good luck!
  3. haha never thought someone else would talk about the soap in here, and didnt know it was also doctor recommended. Yeah its a powerful skin and scalp balancer and you can use it all over externally to wash and help renew the skin to normal youthful stages - of course diet and exercise is still a large contributing factor to aging so keep that in mind too. I use it a few times a week and it does wonders for me. my hair is thicker now too, but i didn't have a problem with the hair i had previously either so im not bothered either way. I now use it as my secret weapon before a night out to stop those spots forming, because it also helps with that too. Just a little pricey but i think its worth it as it lasts long.
  4. I've been on Finpecia for coming up 2 years. I started in Nov 2010, after a good friend of mine (who had a great head of hair at 40) recomended I try taking Fin. He explained the whole concept of Propecia and how it works to me. I was very sceptical, I'd pretty worn hats for the last 3 years. I think he could see it was a sensitive subject and was telling me how over the last 4 years his hair had totally come back thanks to Fin. I must add he said he was never 'bald' he had fairly good hair, but was receeding quite badly and had the beginnings of a bald patch. Pretty much what I had. Just basically thinning hair. I'd started loosing it around 21 (i'm 27 now). Everyone keeps telling me how much healthier my hair looks and I have started going to the hair dressers and styling it again... vs wearing a cap or just shaving it all off at home. It really feels great, I don't think I'm 100% there yet, it really feels like I'm only just starting to notice a change and receiving compliments. I just hope it keeps on improving. UNfortuantely I don't have loads of before pictures as I would never allow anyone (including myself) to photograph me without a hat on. But I've found a few photos that somewhat show my progress up till the modern day. And any improvement when you're going bald is a big thing! I recently in the last few months have added MSM to my regime... whilst I don't think it cures baldness, I think it speeds up hair growth and strenghtens hair and nails. Which when new hair is coming through, definitely helps. I've holding off posting for a long time, as I've been so embarrassed about admitting loosing my hair in the first place, but I just want to encourage others to start early and as soon as you can, and it does work. When googling hairless so much bullish*t comes up, and it was only thanks to a close friend who I trusted that I did anything!
  5. Take it, if you get sides lower the dosage. If it continues you quit. End of. Better to have tried it then continue losing your hair.
  6. I stopped taking propecia and my hair is falling out again, propecia works in keeping your hair on the top but it doesnt do anything for the receding hairline, just maintains the hair. But the side effects were horrid. I had deep depression, super low libido, insomnia, and forgetfulness. and I only to 1.25 mg every other day. It took many months after going off the stuff to finally get a woody in the morning again, i am happier, my insomnia is getting better, and i can get horny again. But Propecia is the only thing that really works for stopping hair loss, if I do decide to try it again ill just get the propeccia instead of proscar, and cut the propecia in half and take one half every day.
  7. No. I would not dispense the pills without an okay from a doctor!
