So i had a hair transplant at the maral clinic in istanbul almost two weeks ago everything went smoothly i was picked up at the airport and was taken to a nice hotel . I was picked up the next morning and to the clinic i had a chat with the dr hes a very nice guy he designed the hairline then it was onto the headshave and the painkilling injections which were the worst bit.

I had 2 lovely ladies working on my head i felt no pain the whole thing took about 7 hours everyone was very profesional and well managed the price is very inexpensive but the service and the way your treated is 5 star. It was a very uncomftable night i got a bit of sleep not much thr next morning i went back to the clinic and had the bandages removed and was given a oversized trilby for the flight home which looked a bit weird but my head was preety gruesome so it had to be covered up.

Actually as i was in the airport i saw at least 6 other ht victims all indian looking guys none of them were wearing hats but with the darker skine tone it wasnt easy to tell they had an op unless you were up close. So all in all it went very well and for the price it was an amazing service so know i suppose its a waiting game .

Hi tj2014. Welcome ! That looks like a great job there again... I love your hairline, and I believe your density will be very good. Be prepared to face jealous Maral's attackers / competitors, who cannot accept that he offers a great job and an incredible value. I look forward to see the evolution :)

Be patient, the 3 first months are the longest ! :)

I'm still waiting for my redness to go away as well, more of a pink color now. The top area has faded more than my donor, but the donor is so itchy!!

I thought shedding starts from the 4th day to the 30th day and last up to two months? I'm surprise you still have a lot of it hasn't shed yet. Probably more than half has shed and I'm just hitting a month. At least you have an idea what you will look like when it's all said and done.

Ive read shedding can happen up to 8 weeks after surgery the bad thing is im just getting used to having a hairline again and i know its all going to fall out again but if the final result looks like it does now ill be happy.

So about 60% of the grafts have shed most in a couple of days at exacly 4 weeks the rest seem to be hanging in there im not sure if its a good thing or not i would of thought the sooner they shed the sooner they grow back.

The transplanted area is still very red although thats slowly reducing i havent looked at the donor area for a while so i dont know whats going on there.

I have noticed a few pimples in the transplanted area in the last few days im not sure if thats good or bad i did buzz my hair with a number 3 guard i was carefull not to touch the grafts but im not sure if the two are related.

So im exactly 3 months post op its going ok i shed about 60% of the grafts so im not sure if i have any shed grafts that are regrowing or if its all unshed hairs there actually more hair that it seems on the pics the lights wash it out a bit.

The recipient area is still very red and the donor area looks a bit sparse to me but im not sure so in the third pic ive drawn the transplant area everything below the line is new hair.

I am at 3 months and I still have a pinkish color on my transplant area. My donor area not so much. Hopefully in a month or two there will be no traces. I guess I notice it more than anyone else because I know my skin.
