Regular Member Raiden76 Posted December 10, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 That's great. How many grafts were in your first procedure? my first ever procedure was back in 2000, mini micro graphs at a clinic in montreal dr.prescott, they told me 1000 grafts but i suspect it was less and i was not happy with my 6 month result at all, so they performed another strip 1 year after the first strip about 600.. it looked fuller and was ok.. in my late 30s more thinning around front and looked really pluggy without my native hairs to camofaouge, My scar was much more noticeable before Im very happy with this tricho closure, impressive stuff. Best of luck they all shed within 3 weeks, I was surprised to see stubble already most of them have not started sprouting yet, I can see about 60 stuble hairs. Regular Member Raiden76 Posted January 27, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 27, 2015 Donor area is fine, it seems when I miss applications of minox the redness is reduced considerably as well as itching. I'm reducing monoxide to 1 x per day. And maybe less.eod perhaps.
Senior Member MusoInOz Posted January 29, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 29, 2015 Have you consulted regarding altering the regimen of Minox? EOD will likely not please the final outcome, if you are experiencing irritation maybe purchase another brand free of PPG free, this can tend to dry the scalp. No, i had not consulted but assumed that since monox. action is increasing blood supply to scalp that it wouldnt neccessarily have a negative feedback type response that some may get from, say altering doses of 5 alpha reductase inhibitors. Senior Member CAMPBELL Posted January 29, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 29, 2015 I've found Minox gives me redness and small pimples/spots if I use it twice a day post-op HT. So I've experimented with cutting the 5% application down to once a day (before bed) & I'm not getting the same amount of spots anymore! If I miss a day then that's okay too as the Minox seems to be working well even on these less frequent sprays (but still consistent time wise).
