Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted January 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 Looks amazing. I am sure it will get better in next 6 months. You shouldn't rush into second procedure. Just enjoy what you got out of this procedure for a while. Let the transplanted hair settle down and donor area heal fully. Good Luck!
Regular Member FullCoverage Posted January 15, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 Thank you Xephis, SunnyCool3. I will start Finasteride and Minoxidyl from tomorrow positively. My friends have started saying that I look a lot better and younger. Truly, the change has been enormous. Dr Radha is the hero here. I experienced my first shedding after 3 weeks if I remember correctly. And the nylon sutures were removed on the 5th day from the day of HT. Dissolving? I don't really know. Point noted on the 2nd HT.
Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted January 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 It will get even better with Min & Finas. I am sure Dr Radha prescribed it to you even before the procedure. So you are not taking any med so far? Nothing at all?
Regular Member Xephis Posted January 15, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2015 I too had my HT with Dr. Radha around 14 days ago. She gave me two types of sutures at the donor site, one was the non-dissolvable type (to be removed after 5-6 days) and the other is the dissolvable type. I wanted to know when does the dissolvable type get completely dissolved.
Regular Member FullCoverage Posted January 16, 2015 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 16, 2015 SunnyCool3, the Dr. did prescribe Fin and Min to me, but I didn't take them due to their alleged side effects. I was not on any medication so far, however, I will start Fin & Min shortly, as I feel my native hair in the crown area (which was not transplanted) is slowly depleting as usual. Xephis, I think the dissolvable sutures got dissolved after 3 months, but I can't remember exactly. Regards
Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted January 16, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted January 16, 2015 Try low dose of Fin and see if you're getting any side effects. Also, apply Min 5% only once a day rather twice. I apply it just once a day to avoid extreme dryness etc. I am just approaching 3 months post OP mark... so far so good. Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted July 8, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2015 Looks good man. You might need to add more density in the crown area and add few to mid scalp if you want to

Senior Member SunnyCool3 Posted July 8, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted July 8, 2015 I am just guessing. You would need 2500 to 3000 grafts more to achieve full head of hair & fully conquer hair loss.

Regular Member timetoact Posted July 9, 2015 Regular Member Share Posted July 9, 2015 I was taking Finpecia 3 months before surgery which she asked me to continue. She also asked me to start on Minoxidil, for which when I cited the dandruff issue, she said you can take Nizoral shampoo to overcome it. And when I particularly asked for any multivitamin tablets, she suggested some.
