Loss of feeling in doner area post-op?

Recommended Posts

I recently had a hair transplant (1,600 graphs) for my crown area 3 weeks ago. I'm experiencing numbness around the doner area. The doctor said this is normal and feeling will return. But I am very nervous about it. Can anyone who has had the procedure shed some light on this? Does feeling eventually return? and if so, how long does it usually take?

Thank you very much.

Completely normal. It will slowly get better.

Totally normal. As for time frame to return to normal, it really does vary. From personal experience, my first ht took almost a yr to return to normal yet my second ht only took a few weeks.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really hope i'm one of the lucky ones who gets feeling quickly. I had no idea that would happen after the procedure. I had heart surgery when i was 13 and the scared area around my chest never felt numb so i had to ask.
