This nice 64 year old executive, who has fantastic texture and color hair, had a number of plug transplants in the 90s, all over the country. Although he looks pretty good, he noted that when trying to style that bushy hair of his, that the hairline was too sparse and pluggy.

Shown are pictures of him illustrating a nice improvement in that plugginess AND a decent scar given how tight and scar filled his donor region was when he arrived at our office.

And interestingly enough, he still has hair greed...we're going to try to figure out how to get a little more hair to address a thin spot behind his frontal hairline on the right and maybe even some crown work....if there is hair available.

Those weren't plugs, those were mini grafts. Yes, there is a difference, in both size and extraction method. True plugs were not harvested through strip surgery.

Is the thinning on his nape the result of the earlier procedures?

Wylie, he had both. I think you can see in the strip specimen, discreet plug scars. If you can't, I'm seeing him again in March for a little extra case and will endeavor to show you he had plugs. He has hundreds of scars in the donor area.

 

And since 21..yes he's thin and compressed in the donor area...thin and sparse hairs and a compressed height of the donor area, due to his multiple surgeries before he got to me.

These are plugs, however, not the notorious 4mm plugs that were punched from the donor area. May I ask what the donor strip contained in terms of calculated hair density?
