Regular Member billyconlon69 Posted January 23, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted January 23, 2014 hey guys. ive been wearing a relatively snug hat since a month after my hair transplant. my HT surgeon said it was fine to wear one after week 3. i wear it for about 4 hours per day. anyone else on here wore a hat after their HT? Would be interested to see how your HT turned out.
Senior Member imnothere Posted January 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2014 Also , what are the best sort of hats to wear? Can i wear a loose beanie 4-5 days after?
Senior Member Spanker Posted January 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 23, 2014 I wore a fitted hat post op. I would have strayed from a snug hat, but I wore my regular fitted hat and didn;t have any issues. Senior Member greatjob Posted January 24, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 24, 2014 At 1 month post op you can wear whatever hat you want. The only time to be really concerned is at about 2 weeks post op, you don't want anything touching or rubbing your grafts.
Senior Member Spanker Posted January 24, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 24, 2014 whats a fitted hat? I fitted hat is the type that the major league baseball players wear. Its a baseball cap without the snaps in the back for sizing and you buy them to fit the size of your head. Senior Member Traction Posted January 24, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 24, 2014 Did your scabs fall out before you started wearing the hat? 4066 FUE Grafts with Dr Bhatti, India 9&10 Jan 2014 For my pics and thread click the link:http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/173658-4066-fue-grafts-dr-bhatti-india-restoring-more-than-just-hair.html
Senior Member greatjob Posted January 25, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2014 Did your scabs fall out before you started wearing the hat? I was wearing an adjustable snapback hat pretty much right after surgery to travel from the clinic to my hotel. As long as it doesn't touch the recipient area the first couple weeks, you will be fine.
