Regular Member sheraz104 Posted January 20, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted January 20, 2014 I recently shaved my head and there is redness(it itches) on some area of the scalp. I have attached some pictures to see if this is some general dandruff due to cold weather or is this any kind of fungal infection? I do not see too much flakes unless I scratch my head with nails or a comb.
Senior Member Jotronic Posted January 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 21, 2014 Could be but it looks very minor if it is. See a dermatologist to confirm and follow his/her directions on how to treat it. Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted January 21, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 21, 2014 I agree with Jo: see a dermatologist. There is really no other way to confirm your suspicions. Senior Member rev333 Posted January 22, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2014 only see one red spot pic 4 try using AQUANIL HC LOTION it contains 1% Micronized Hydrocortisone works wonders if in one week you do not see an improvement STOP USE and see a derm but this is what deems use as a first step for itchy, red skin without skin breakage it's pricey though but OTC

Senior Member shane13 Posted January 22, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 22, 2014 I don't think so. Sebhorrheic dermatitis accompanies lots of flaking. Still if you have any doubts, do consult your dermatologist. > March '09 - Dissatisfactory 650 FUE > December '12 - 2151 FUE with Dr. Bhatti (http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/168700-2151-fue-grafts-dr-tejinder-bhatti-darling-buds-%96-23rd-dec-2012-a.html) > September '13 - 1720 FUE with Dr. Bhatti (http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/172163-hair-transplant-2-dr-bhatti-1720-fue-sep-13-a.html)
