Hello friends by hair! :)

I have diagnosed seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp (crown) 7 years ago (I am 29 now) that came from a lot of stress. In just a few months I got severe itching, red flaking and hair falling off by a good percent. Since my diagnosis of s.dermatitis, hair started to fall off. I have to wash my hair everyday, sometimes twice a day, have some itching and some redness now but much better than before.Been using since medical shampoos with coal tar, selenium sulfide, coffeine etc. It slowed down progressing probably. Also been using minoxidil for 2.5 years twice a day (2x1ml) and no results. I stopped with minoxidil 5% several months ago.

I contacted few doctors which I saw you guys respect because of their work. I got different responses stating I need around from 2500 grafts to 3500 grafts, depending of clinic and doctor. Here are the pictures View image: h

Very important is that I never had aggressive hair line, it pretty much looked always like this with, of course, much bigger-normal volume. I intentionally marked the 'wishing' line which I would restore a bit. It's the first triangle which has lost volume the most. I am satisfied with the rest of the crown for now, I don't want full natural volume with HT, just want to a retouch a bit first triangle to get it at a same volume as rest of the crown. It means I don't want radical change because of possible risk that new hair will falloff because of seborrheic dermatitis - it wouldn't be useful for money and for hair lost from donor area, right? My mother's brother lost his hair to NW6-7 'till age of 31, like all of it. My brother (from my mothers sister) also have issues probably because our grandfather (father from my mother) was totally bald.

Crown state is like this for several years now with no change or signs of regression, only problematic is triangle that's shedding a bit year by year. Hair thinning is also noticeable. It is interesting that hair outside the red circle marked on photo is very strong with good volume and it's high so my area for HT wouldn't be too big if it comes to work all of it one day.

Do you guys think I should at first try to retouch first a problematic triangle with, say, 500-700 grafts to boost up a volume and define a line a bit and see in next couple of years if hair is gonna falloff or stay good on the head?

I am afraid that doctors will refuse this kind of wish, what do you say? Is my wish realistic at first?

No offense but I would not recommend that you have a HT procedure until your scalp condition is completely resolved because as you may already know, your diagnosed condition can affect the entire scalp.

I wish you resolve in the coming days.

I've just seen your response. Thanks for that. SD cannot be completely resolved. However it can be treated very good which I am doing right now. I did seen a lot of posts here where doctors are claiming that they did many procedures on SD scalps with no side-effects. I will think about it but for now, I am looking for a good doctor in Turkey since I am an hour and a half by plain from them.. :)

Research and find a good honest doctor. Shapiro, Konior, Hasson and Wong, Bisanga, Griffin, all come to mind in my dealings with them being moralistic. Get a consult with one of them and as cor their opinion. Then follow it,

I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians.
