Regular Member dudewheresmyhairdude Posted August 4, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted August 4, 2013 Hi, I'm in Day 5 after FUE. Donor region ITCHES. OMFG!!! I've been mixing some salt in bottled water, putting it on a towel and dabbing it on every couple hours, and icing it to try to stop the itch. I have also been lightly rubbing my hand around the whole back of my head. It is also loosening the thousand tiny, hard balls of scabs causing several to come out. Is all this okay? I'm also having my first cup of coffee today. Any philosophies on coffee after a few days?

I'd check with the Dr about those queries. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Regular Member dudewheresmyhairdude Posted August 4, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 4, 2013 I bought an anteater from a zoo for the graft extractions, and I trapped a woodpecker in my backyard for the incisions. ah, ah, ah. I asked question first. And it's Sunday so I can't call the clinic. Dude! Repondez s'il vous plait.
Senior Member hairshopeing Posted August 4, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 4, 2013 I used to rub the back of mine to help with the itching and remove the little scabs, I had pretty bad shockloss in that region( all came back) don't know if that caused it though!! Coffee must be ok as my dr always gave me a coffee at my washes and check up and immediately after surgery unless I'm mistaken!!
Regular Member dudewheresmyhairdude Posted August 4, 2013 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 4, 2013 @hairshopeing. Thank you for your reply. Now my MAJOR concern is did the shockloss in the donor region occur FROM you rubbing it??!??!?!??!?!?!?!??! You had FUE?
Senior Member hairshopeing Posted August 4, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted August 4, 2013 I don't know??? I had fue yes, and if I ever have it again I will try and refrain from itching it or rubbing it too much as a precaution!! I was very carful with the recip area but was sometimes rubbing the donor!!
